Female Football Week!

Celebrating our Over 40’s Women’s team!

From weekly training sessions in the Point 1 Football warehouse to travelling to Fiji together to compete in the Ultimate Fiji Cup this team is proof that football has no age limit.

Our Over 40’s women’s team continue to inspire us every single week with their passion, commitment, friendship and love for the game. They show up for themselves, for each other, and most importantly, they are showing their daughters and the next generation of young girls that you are never “too old” to chase what you love.

Football is for everyone, at every age, and these women are leading the way. So proud of this incredible group of ladies.

This Female Football Week, we celebrate our incredible coach and owner of Point t Football Caitlin “Pommie” Jarvie, she is helping shape the next generation of players on the Northern Beaches.

Caitlin brings a wealth of experience from an outstanding playing career both in Australia and overseas. She has represented the Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers, while also playing professionally in England, Spain and Poland.

Caitlin proudly represented Australia twice at the AMF Futsal World Cup in Colombia before finishing her playing career at Manly United FC.

For the past 6 years, Caitlin has poured her passion and knowledge into building Point 1 Football Academy, including creating a dedicated football warehouse space in Brookvale that has been home to countless young players over the last 2 years.

More than her achievements on the field, Caitlin is a huge inspiration and mentor to all the girls in the academy. Her dedication, leadership and belief in every player continue to create opportunities and confidence for the next generation of female footballers.

Thank you Caitlin for everything you do for the girls game and for being such a positive role model in football.

To coach Emilia, thank you for being such a dedicated coach, role model and inspiration to all of our players, while also competing as a local Women’s Premier League player yourself. Your passion and commitment to our players never goes unnoticed.

To Raquel, thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep things running for our girls.

And to all of our amazing football mums and female supporters, thank you for being the taxi drivers, snack providers, loudest cheerleaders and biggest supporters of our girls every single week. We couldn’t do it without you

Last night was truly special at Point 1 Football

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome 4 team members of the Australian Women’s Futsal Team for a meet & greet and Q&A sessions with our academy players.

To see our young athletes listening so intently, asking questions, and being inspired by the players who are living their dreams of playing Futsal at the highest level wearing the Green and Hold. These moments remind us why we do what we do.

The stories shared, the honesty, the resilience, and the passion for the game lit a spark in every single player in the room. It showed them that with hard work, belief, and love for the game, anything is possible.

To our incredible guests Halle, Grace, Ariella and Daisy, thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your hearts. You’ve inspired the next generation more than you know.

What a special moment for all of us at Point 1 Football.

Watching Halle go from coaching in our academy to proudly wearing the Australian jersey is something we are incredibly proud of.

Halle has been such a valued part of Point 1 Football family, from nurturing our youngest players in the preschool program to coaching many of our players during tournaments across the years.

Her passion, energy and genuine care for every child she works with is something truly special, she is an incredible role model for our players.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything she is achieving.
