As we reflect, on achievements over the last 45 years - this one goes down in history.

Tom Slaven, founder of Zen Chi Ryu, set a world record by crushing 2,040 lbs (approximately 930 kg) of ice with a single elbow strike.

This record-breaking feat took place at Woden, ACT on April 15, 1983

Its been an amazing journey, with many people contributing to our Martial Art and creating the Strong Mind Way.

An Important ANNOUCEMENT!!!

We have had a date change for our Senior Warrior Camp that was set for July 2026.

This has now been combined with our Junior Warrior Camp in September and the location will be in Kempsey, NSW.

More information will be released as our Warrior Way Camp gets closer.

Bringing our dojo’s together!!

Tonight we were able to train together - from Sydney to Brisbane and in between, through technology!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Martin “Ben” Sheehan, who was a respected instructor and valued member of our Zen Chi Ryu family.

Sensei Ben was an influential instructor in the 80’s and taught many students with some of these students becoming our Instructors today—he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to so many.

His dedication, patience, and passion for martial arts left a lasting impact on everyone he taught and trained alongside.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Sensei Ben.
