Someone I know recently lost 42kg. Crazy achievement! 👏🏾
But he did it fast, and didn't realise a big chunk of what he lost was muscle. Then he loaded up an empty barbell for a back squat and slipped two discs 🥴
An empty bar!!
He's not weak-willed. He just skipped the foundation. Remember, less weight on the scale doesn't mean a stronger body ❌ He lost the muscle that should've been protecting him 🫠
That's exactly why new clients at 6PBC start in Bootcamp 👊🏾 If you can't control your own body, you shouldn't be moving a barbell 💯
Niggles don't come out of nowhere 🫣 They usually come from the smaller muscles that get neglected when training is all about big compound (barbell) lifts 🏋🏾♂️
A lot of shoulder pain, for example, traces back to rotator cuffs that aren't doing their job. The shoulder needs to be strong through every range of motion, not just pressing overhead
Bootcamp builds that base using YOUR OWN bodyweight first 👊🏾 Once it's there, we can progress you to heavier strength work (if you want it)
But honestly? You could do functional strength training (Bootcamp) for life & stay fit, strong, stable and injury-free. That's what Bootcamp is built for!! 💪🏾
Build the base properly and you'll have a strong body for life 🔥
