Four big days of competition have kicked off in Canberra, 01–04 October, and the vibe is great! 🚀

For many of our students, this will be their first Australian Championships. For others, it’s another opportunity to compete alongside some of Australia’s best.

But Nationals is about much more than results and medals. It’s the team spirit, new friendships, shared experiences and memories made together — on and off the mats — that make these events so special. 🥋🤍🥋

Best wishes to all our competitors, coaches, referees and judges, and a huge thank you to the families who have travelled interstate to support our team.

Enjoy every moment, Hall’s. Represent with pride and have a brilliant Nationals! 🇦🇺🥋

All Hall’s Taekwondo centres will be closed on Friday 25 September and Saturday 26 September for the AFL Grand Final weekend.

🇦🇺WORLD STAGE pride for Kiara, Matei and Gabriel at the Chuncheon 2026 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships

Kiara Evans represented Australia in Female Individual Under 30, progressing to the second round and finishing 17th in the world. In an incredibly close contest against Belgium, Kiara finished locked at 8.920–8.920, with Belgium progressing on the referee’s decision.

Kiara was also given the honour of carrying the Australian flag at the Championships — a very proud moment. 🇦🇺

Matei Nozic and Gabriel Tham, together with Australian teammate Aryton, produced an outstanding performance in Male Cadet Team, also progressing to the second round and finishing an impressive 5th in the world. 🌏

No medals for our three this time — but 17th and 5th in the world, and all three advancing beyond the opening round, are results worth celebrating.

We are incredibly proud of Kiara, Matei and Gabriel — not only for how they performed, but for the way they represented Australia and Hall’s Taekwondo on the world stage. 💙🇦🇺

Congratulations also to the entire Australian Team on an exceptional Championships, bringing home five medals, including Australia’s first-ever Cadet World Poomsae Championship medal. 🥇🥈
