• In 2012 was awarded the Distinguished Law Enforcement Community Impact and Life Achievement Award by Chapter 38 of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association in Delaware, USA.
• Recipient of:
- 1982 Black Belt Kung Fu Hall of Fame Award
- 1983 set the world record for speed punching at 8.3 punches per second at Harvard University, USA

• 2000 Conducted seminars for Huntington Beach Police Academy, California, USA
• 1999 Conducted seminars for Navy Seal Instructors at Orange County, California, USA
• 1996 Conducted Cheung’s Defensive Tactics seminar for FBI at White Plains, New York, USA

• 2013 headed the return of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu to its birthplace at the Shaolin Temple, Henan Province in China, attended by over 120 martial artists from around the world. A permanent stone monument was installed to commemorate this event at the Temple.
• Over the past 20 years has conducted biennial training and touring visits to China uniting martial artists from around the world.

• Featured on over 50 Australian and international magazine cover stories and articles during his career.
• Appeared on television shows including "A Current Affair", "The Mike Walsh Show" and "The Footy Show" displaying his martial arts skills. It was in Hong Kong in the 1950s that William Cheung was selected by Great Grandmaster Ip Man to be his private student and learn the art of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. At Cheung’s Martial Arts Academy we teach Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu, as taught directly to William Cheung by Ip Man.
