Congratulations to our very own M Senior Captain Conor Fowler on winning the League Best & Fairest in Division 2.

Coach Rick summed the season up well for one of West Brunswick’s favourites,
“Conor had an outstanding season and was incredibly consistent from start to finish. What sets him apart is the completeness of his game. He wins his own footy, breaks lines, creates run and carry, works just as hard defensively and has the ability to impact games at crucial moments.

Conor embodies what Wests is about, and he’s the best of us.

I couldn’t be prouder of him, as a person, as a player and as a leader.”

We love you Chook, truly one of the best to ever do it.

Congratulations Sig on an amazing first year of footy! League Best & Fairest in Division 5, a comp where you were up against clubs’ senior and reserves teams.

Arriving to Australia in February she was on the track at McAlister by March.

In the words of her coach Zane, “From the very beginning, she embraced the game with enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to learn. Her confidence grew throughout the season, and she quickly became an important and consistent contributor to the team.

To win a competition Best & Fairest in her very first season is a wonderful achievement and something to be extremely proud of. It has been fantastic to watch her grow as a player, and this is only the beginning of what promises to be an exciting football journey.”

As we get ready to celebrate another huge year at West we are spending this week looking back at some of our 2025 award winners and Life Members.

Life Membership recognises those who have made a lasting contribution to our club, whether through playing 150 games or 10 years of service.

In 2025, we were proud to induct four new Life Members — with Beth, Bridie and Polly becoming the first women in our club’s history to receive the honour.

All four of our 2025 inductees have given so much to West over the years and have each left their own mark on our club. We are incredibly proud to recognise everything they have contributed.
