It’s finals, baby!
M Ressies are fit and firing, ready to take on MHSOB in tomorrow’s semi-final. They’ll be raring to go, playing for the win to score a week off and a spot secured in the 2026 Grand Final in two weeks time.
It’s time to get around the squad by getting to the game in a sea of black and white!
GO WEST!!
Tickets available on the gate.
With six finals on adjoining ovals, expect crowds and make sure you allow enough time for parking to be there for the midday bounce!

Turtle. What a name. What a player. What an icon.
A nickname so good most people have forgotten his actual name — if they even knew it in the first place.
Arriving at West Brunswick from Bendigo via St Hilda’s in 2016, Turtle becomes just the 2nd player from that year to reach 150 games.
Plying his trade initially in the thirds and then the reserves, Turtle’s early years at the club were hampered by soft tissue issues.
However, they say good things come to those who wait (and do their rehab properly), and Turtle broke through for a senior debut in mid-2018 before finishing runner-up in the reserves B&F in 2019.
In the years since COVID, Turtle’s commitment to preparing his body the right way enabled him to truly come out of his shell and reap the rewards on-field, named most-improved in the Men’s seniors in 2022. Now a mainstay in the seniors for the better part of a decade, Turtle has made the Ransford wing his own with his hard running, sharp foot skills, footy nous and those iconic long sleeves. His pace (despite the name), guile and endless banter have made him a cult figure and crowd favourite, and a regular target for the opposition (which he loves). His moves on the dancefloor and at kick-ons are reportedly just as iconic as his banter.
Off the field his contribution to West Brunswick has been just as valuable, with several years on the Footy Ops committee and two stints on Exec, first as Footy Ops Manager and more recently as Social Manager in 2025. He remains a regular gameday volunteer and is the undisputed master of the Wheel of Names — ensuring the senior team have pre-game tunes and a joke, half-time snacks, and a post-match drink each week.
Congrats on 150, Turtle. Time to shellebrate!
