SCDBA Singles Champion of Champion
Last weekend saw our Buderim Singles Champions compete for the 2026 SCDBA Champion of Club Champions at Club Kawana in beautiful sunshine and calm winds.

Jenny Holt represented Buderim in the Women’s Draw and her round one match was against The Waves Caloundra’s Jennifer Crerar. Jennifer was on fire and after the match reaching 22 all, Jennifer scored a 3 on the last end to win a great game. Jenny left her run a little late but the standard of bowls was excellent.

Mark Monro in his second 2026 Champion of Club Champions event proudly represented Buderim again in the Singles Men’s Draw. He defeated Ron Tonks (Mapleton) in the first round 27-21. In the second round Mark was up against Yandina’s Joseph Britten who played some good shots but Mark was intent on reaching the next round with a solid 25-15 win and a place in the Sunday morning semi-finals.
In a see-sawing match, Mark defeated Gavin Linnan (Glasshouse) 26-19 for a place in the Grand Final.
We knew Mark was in for a tough game as the home crowd favourite, Cooper Sutton, had played stunning bowls throughout the competition. A great show of draw bowling by both players but the 2026 SCDBA Men’s Singles Champion of Club Champions was Cooper, winning 26-9.
Congratulations Mark, you played superb bowls all weekend.
