A big thank you to Vasse Kakkas Football Club for these amazing indigenous paintings for our best on ground awards!

Our Bunbury Eagles Football Club player of the match was Riley Modini who dominated the ruck most of the night!

Vasse Kakkas player of the match went to Connor Schepis for cracking in the midfield all night and a huge effort around the ground!

These players were selected by the opposing coaches.

Once again a huge thanks to Vasse for such an awesome day!!

This weekend we take on Vasse Kakkas Football Club in Indigenous Round at 5pm at Sir Stewart Bovell Oval πŸͺƒ

We will be unveiling our new indigenous jumpers this week also so keep and eye out on the page for this!!

In celebration of Indigenous round we will be known as Goomburrup for Saturday. The original inhabitants of the area now known as "Bunbury" or "Goomburrup" are the Wardandi Noongar Aboriginal people who have lived in the southwest for over 45,000 years. This area was a seasonal gathering place, with good sources of food and a site for ceremonial gatherings

Waalitj means "Eagle" in Noongar language
an eagle represents respect, honour, strength, courage and wisdom.

Seatbelts save lives. Whether you're driving too footy, heading home after the game, or just making a quick trip to town β€” wearing your seatbelt is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and your passengers.

Key reminders:

🟑 Seatbelts reduce the risk of serious injury and death

πŸ”΅ Every person in the vehicle must be properly restrained

🟑 Drivers are responsible for ensuring passengers are buckled up

πŸ”΅ Short trips close to home are where many accidents happen

🟑 No excuses β€” Belt Up, every trip, every time

Do we have an action packed day for our ladies this Saturday as we remember Beck!!

It's our Beck O'Rouke Ladies Day
From 10am we will have a grazing platter and a discounted specials menu for the bar that will be served by our playing group!

We can't wait for Saturday as we take on Augusta on such a special day for our club!

Beck was such an important part of our Eagles DNA in our inaugural year laying the foundation for so much of our culture and values today.

Make sure you put something purple on in memory of Beck for her favourite colour!

(Reminder that the game is a 3pm start not the normal 2pm against Augusta)
