Pretty hard to type this so please bear with me.

I would like to announce my official retirement from all competitive racing.

This journey has been something I will never forget from where it all started as captured below there has been a lot of highs and a lot of lows. But together my family have supported me through everything. To everyone I have met along the way and to everyone that has supported me I appreciate it. From the junior motorcross days being under the Bunbury KTM banner in its original days with the Dowson family to the last full year on the sidecar I will cherish every moment. Met some great people and some beautiful family’s over the years. It’s time to step away from the track and that environment for the foreseeable future for some reason I don’t wish to discuss. To mum and dad the sacrifice you guys made to let me go racing is something I don’t think I will ever truly understand but I can not thank you both enough.

Definitely not the news we wanted to be posting about. Dillan had a private day at the collie motorplex today after his off track misfortune at round 1 it has created quite a bit of discomfort in the damaged right leg. Mannaged to do x2 6 lap runs today along way off the pace with more pain in the leg we have decided not to take part at round 2 this coming weekend.

With work commitment getting in the way going forward we are not sure when our next round will be.physio appointment has been booked along with another x ray to try see what damage has been done and how Dillan can get it better for the future.

We are looking forward to Round 2 coming up in just 3 weeks time. Dillan Has learnt along after round 1 and been at home putting in the work to try make the bike better for round 2. New brake pads new rotors and some new brake fluid to try and help give him the confidence on the front under brakes will all be a step in the right direction.

“ Dillan “ . I just want to take the time to thank everyone that supports myself and our race team. Beyond grateful for there support and it shows in how well the bike and leathers have come out this year. I can tell that the slicks do not like an off road excursion through the sand trap and back around the other side of the that definitely dusted off the motorcross background. On to round 2 we have to come through the pack again but that’s ok I know what I need to do I know what I need to work on as a rider. I have also found some minor set backs on the bike this week that will be resolved for round 2 and hopefully can assist with a bit more confidence for the next round.

2024 Round 1

All in all a positive day for Dillan on the Gen3motorsport Kawasaki zx6R. Qualified in P6 set a new PB lap time of 59.6 second lap. And completed all 3 races.

Ah look where to start disappointed to say the least road like a crab just to nice we had top 4 pace today but with being assisted off track in race one re aggravating the broken leg injury then getting heled up due to a lack of seat time and being to nice when trying to pass. Going to have to dig deep and start making passes happen I know I can run up the front just need to get aggressive. All in all 8 years off the bike not to bad I guess. Sorry to everyone that supports me my attitude definitely got the best of me today and I am sorry to all our sponsors we have pace we are fast I will get there.

All in all it was a positive test yesterday for Dillan on board the Gen3motorsport Kawasaki ZX6R. From all reports both bike and rider felt and performed well. Bellow we have attached a photo of the class we will be competing in for the 2024 Western Australian State Road Racing Championship. As you can see it is a very stacked feild this year we believe it would be by far the most depth WA has seen in a supersport 600 feild in years along with what is 22 confirmed riders and teams on the grid for round 1 being held this Sunday.

“ 2024 Bike Reveal “

New suit day for Dillan from all of us here at Gen3motorsport we can not thank 4SR Australia enough for there support in the up and coming 2024 race season.

Ah where do I start this is my first custom designed suit with sponsorship logos on it and man does it feel good to have one. Honestly my first thoughts straight away was what great quality all the seems and stitching seems very good the suit is as up to date as they get having the airbag compatibility along with the little things like the build in back protector and the chest pad as well. The little features to they fit great are very well priced for the general
Public. That was a big thing for me have a suit that everyone can afford to purchase support also have an Australia distributor and get the 4SR name out there in WA. , a few features I really like as a whole are the elbow sliders great coverage on the knee and shoulders they have added a small patch for gripping the tank as well on the inside of the knees. They have a system so you can clip the zip up so you can walk around with out them falling down as well They also come with a very nice carry bag.

We can not wait to see Dillan on the bike in the new suit. Please do not hesitate to come and have a look at the great quality and ask any questions you may have on the suit when you see the team at the track next.

🏁 Injury update 🏁

We are now less than 4 weeks out from Round 1 of the western Australian state road racing championship that is being held at Carco Raceway on the 21st of April. Dillan will ride then Gen3motorsport TRAKDAYZ back Kawasaki zx6R in the premier 600cc supersport class. As for Dillan’s Right lower leg injury sustained in September last year we have had a 6 month X ray carried out and a he surgeon is please with the healing rate of the leg and very happy with what Dillan is able to do considering the injury happening not all that long ago. Dillan may need to get the hardware removed that is 4 screws and a 11mm in diameter titanium rod that is 370mm in length located inside the bone of the tubular but that will be planed so we don’t miss any racing.

Yeh look I am excited to go racing again and in a new class it’s a new challange. I believe we as a team can have some good results 8 years off the bike and in a class with everyone having multiple years on the bike / in the class it’s always going to be a hard slog. Leg feels ok mentally I am ready for the fight at round 1 in a few weeks. This year is a learning year and that is what I need to remember frst year racing a 600 let’s have some fun in saying that if the mmm chance is there to fight at the front that I will do…

🏁 Weekend re cap 🏁

The Gen3motorsport team hit the track across 2 days over the weekend with Dillan ,Stephen and Shannhan all riding. Day 1 was all about very much needed seat time at barbagallo raceway up in Perth. Only have 1 ride there previously on the race bike in 7 years it was a very important day for the team as round 1 of the western Australian state road racing championship is being held there on the 21st of April.

With Dillan managing to set 2 new PB lap times across the 2 days this put him closer to the front half of the feild and in good spirits going into the brake before round 1.

“ Dillan “ look all in all it was a good weekend as a racer of course I want more but it will come with time and laps there is no substitute for seat time and 7+ years off a 2 wheel race bike on the black top was always going to come with its uphill battles. Bike feels really good I am feeling better every ride and starting to really understand what we need to be working on. The 600 class this year is going to be stacked 7+ riders that could win races and fight for the championship it’s the most depth 600 class in recent years I believe.

🏁Gen3motorsport supersport 600 livery for 2024

Well it is official this is what the Gen3motorsport team will look like for the up and coming Western Australian State Road Racing Championship. We can not thank our team and sponsors enough for there on going support. We have set the bar high as always and believe we can go on to get some good results in our first ever attempt at a 600cc championship.
