Starting today, 1 March, we’re inviting detectorists across Australia and New Zealand to get out there and make a real difference. The Clean Sweep is open to all Australian and New Zealand residents, and this one is not about gold. It’s about helping clean up our bushlands, beaches and public spaces and leaving them better than we found them.

How it works:
• Head out detecting during March
• Collect the rubbish you recover
• Upload a photo of your rubbish finds to enter

You can enter multiple times throughout the month, so the more rubbish you remove, the more chances you have.

Prizes:
• First Prize: Minelab Money to the value of AUD $10,000 (or NZD $11,600, as applicable)
• Second Prize: Minelab Money to the value of AUD $3,000 (or NZD $3,477, as applicable)
• Third Prize: Minelab Money to the value of AUD $1,000 (or NZD $1,160, as applicable)

This competition is about responsibility and backing our hobby with action. Every scrap of metal, wire, can and fragment removed is one less hazard for wildlife, livestock and other people enjoying the outdoors.
