It was great to be trackside today at Karting Australia’s 2026 Panelfab Queensland State Kart Championship at Bundaberg Kart Club.

Catching up with old friends, and seeing many of our former team drivers and crew now thriving as team owners, managers and coaches, is always a highlight. It’s rewarding to watch the next generation continue to grow and give back to the sport.

Spending the day trackside reinforced something we’ve suspected for a while—the passion for the sport is still there. Whether that means returning in some capacity remains to be seen, but if we do, it will be in a way that allows us to contribute without the significant commitment that comes with team ownership.

It’s a conversation we’ve been having for some time now—even if, for the moment, we’re simply enjoying life as enthusiastic followers of the sport we love, travelling the country and soaking it all in.

Funny how a photo can take you back in an instant and remind you that while the destination changes, the lessons often don’t.

Motorsport taught me that preparation beats talent when talent isn’t prepared. That consistency wins championships. That setbacks are temporary, but resilience is a choice. And that no driver ever succeeds without a great team around them.

Those lessons have followed me well beyond the racetrack—into business, leadership, and life.
