After some awesome efforts over the past two weekends, we’re excited to have THREE teams heading into Grand Finals! 🎉

💙 Div 2 Women Friday night
💙 Div 2 Men Friday night
💙 U14s Saturday at 12pm

We’ll still have shifts to fill over the weekend. Day/times will be confirmed later, with the roster coming out later this week.

📣 Draw for Semi Finals - 4th & 5th September 2026 📣

Please see the attached draw for our second weekend of thrilling finals! It's crunch time so make sure you wear your Club colours and support your teams this weekend!

Any games that are drawn at full time will move straight to penalty shoot outs

All named umpires and tech officials are required to attend the game.

Any tech officials that are unable to fulfil your allocated duty - please email BHA at [email protected] as soon as possible
Any umpires unable to fulfil your umpire duty, please email Harrison within 48 hours before the game start time at [email protected]

Failure to notify BHA or the Umpire Committee of your unavailability to umpire or tech will result in a 1 week suspension.

Canteen and bar facilities are open Friday night and Saturday.

How lucky are we to have tradesmen within our association who are willing to give up their Sunday to help keep our hockey field in top shape

These guys gave up their time to replace bulbs and make sure our field is shining bright for finals. It’s the behind-the-scenes jobs like this that make our association what it is.

🏑🏆 THE JERRY BURTT AWARD 🏆🏑

Today was a pretty special day as the Jerry Burtt Award was officially unveiled by Bundaberg Hockey Association. 💙💛
disclaimer: Jerry certainly didn’t want an award named after him .. did cities or Bundaberg hockey association listen absolutely not 😝)

Each year this award will be presented to one boy and one girl who have shown outstanding achievement on the hockey field recognising not just talent, but dedication, commitment and the things that make a great hockey player.

And honestly… could there be a more fitting name? 🥹

Jerry has dedicated 30 years of his life to hockey Not missing 1 season since 1996 ! .. cheers to another 30 more hey Jeremiah Burtt 🍺 🏑

We all know what Jerry does week in and week out for Bundaberg Hockey, he somehow manages to be everywhere, doing everything, all the time. 😂

Preliminary Finals this week 🎉

📣 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FINALS 📣

Week 1:
In the event that any of the Preliminary Finals are drawn at full time, an extra 5 minutes each way will be played with the first team to score being the winner.
Should the game still be drawn at the end of extra time, the winner shall be the team with the highest competition points going into the game.

Week 2 and Grand Finals:
Any games that are drawn at full time will move straight to penalty shoot outs

For the Division 1 games that have a Reserve Tech Official named on the draw - all 3 Tech Officials are required to attend the game.

For all tech officials that have been named on the draw in U16, Division 2 and Division 1 games - and are unable to fulfil your allocated duty - please email BHA at [email protected] as soon as possible
