Schembri's Taekwondo

High dan grading, with John (Red Dragon's) visiting from NSW to grade for 7th Dan, Ben (Grant's Taekwondo) grading for 6th Dan, Larry Prahran Taekwondo School) grading for 6th Dan and Olivia (Schembri's Taekwondo) 5th Dan. Months of preparation, with applicants attending morning poomsae training sessions to hone their skills.
Thanks to Rob Schembri, Tony Gibbs, John le Bosque and Robyn Kane for facilitating the grading and providing their expertise.
Great effort by all.

Once again congratulations to Mark, Kristy, Chris and Chris on passing their Kukkiwon Dan gradings for 7th Dan Kristy and Mark, 6th Dan for Dr Chris and 5th Dan for Chris (your friendly mobile mechanic).
Presentation this morning by Grand Master Robert Schembri at open mat poomsae training, same venue where they having been diligently putting in the extra training over the past year to hone their skills.

This morning’s open mat poomsae training at Bundoora dojang. Black belt Instructors from 8 clubs across Victoria and NSW. Training wednesday and fridays mornings, 7am to 8am. All welcome.

This is a wonderful cause from Kristy Busutill Master Instructor of Jeongsin Taekwondo Club & one she holds very close to her heart.

We are doing our annual "kick for sick kids" tomorrow to raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.

We "kick" 10km from the dojang to Royal Childrens Hospital as a team of students and parents.

If you would be so kind to spread to word maybe to your students and friends to help raise money and awareness for this amazing cause.

KICK for Sick Kids I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support.

GM Rob and Master Nerise had the honour of catching up with GM Cho and many other Taekwondo stalwarts. Many of the GM’s/Masters have been involved in Taekwondo for over 50 years.

We were honored to host three esteemed guests, GM Ross Hartnett, GM Carmela Hartnett from WA, and GM Michael Tan from QLD, who joined us for training this morning. With a total of five GMs, including Robert Schembri and Tony Gibb, it was a truly special experience. We were also grateful for GM Michael Tan's Hapkido lesson.

Open mat poomsae training Friday morning at Schembri’s Bundoora. Always followed by breakfast at a local cafe.

Celebration week at Schembri’s Taekwondo to wrap up the year. Pizza and trophies, a great combination. Congratulations to the award winners. Thank you to everyone who attended and who have been part of our Taekwondo family this year.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in Sunday's Kyorugi competition at Darebin. Results were Beata Gold, Salwa Gold, Aarav Gold, Nikon Gold, Eva Silver, Peter Silver, Brad Silver, Lauren Silver. Tyson, Brent, Annalise and Hamzeh placed well in their large divisions.
Thanks to our members who volunteered on the day, Terence refereeing, Stacey on computers and Steve marshalling.
