Happy New Year!
Could you please confirm which days you will be enrolling your children into for term 1 of FIT KIDS 2020 ASAP. π

Term 1 begins the week of 27th January.

What a little champion. Meet Alex. This week putting up a 50kg Barbell Deadlift in class. Great job Alex, keep up the hard work!
Now stop. These deadlifts are not perfect and technical drills were followed through with after the video was taken to improve that load through the legs and straighten the back.
But what is important for these kids is that they feel the difference between poor form and safe form.
Learning via feel as these kids perform the Deadlift can be overly developmental for their progress and understanding. Proprioception (feedback on bodies position) becomes better if you know wrong from right and you learn from mistakes.
Watch them both improve with position of the back hips and legs every repetition.
Note: Yes 28kg. It was a jump for them but they were up to see how theyβd go. Little bit more work before they nail it.
