Planning to Succeed @ Nowra Hill.

Friday was the first time the Matt Charles Mindset work has been run as a clinic, as part of Kate Schreiber and Simon Fielder's three-day immersion.

What stood out wasn't where people were struggling. It was how quickly things shifted once they had language for what was happening — in their own body first, then in the horse.

That's the whole thing. The horse doesn't respond to the plan. It responds to the person carrying it.

Thanks to Kate and Simon for the invitation, and to Darryl Leigh for the horsemanship across the weekend. Good horses, good people, plenty to build on.

After 2 long months we are finally all back together at home!!! 🇦🇺🏡
It has been an incredible time for our family making connections within the industry world wide and showing Oakley more of the world. ❤️

It has also been two months of sacrifice and separation which has been extremely hard and a big adjustment for our little family.
We greatly appreciate those who check in and show support for what we are trying to do within the industry. It doesn’t go unnoticed! 🫶🏼

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

On that note, if anyone knows Matt well enough they know he doesn’t do “down time” very well and so he is straight back into lessons and clinics with a day in Sunny Sydney today followed by a lesson day at home tomorrow! 😅

“Shiney Electra“ took Matt to Level 4 Open Derby Champion this morning in the first ever Reining China NRHA Derby! This mare is a unicorn! Although tricky at times, her willingness to every rider she carries in the pen shines through!!! ✨

Another day for the record books in Beijing! 📖

Matt entered the show pen this morning aboard the talented “Shiney Electra” to take Co Champion in the NRHA Open at the Reining China Derby Show! Not only did he win this prize alongside one of his greatest friends and fellow Aussie trainer Steph Dunnachie from Lancefield Bloodstock, both riders also left the pen with qualifying scores to secure their ticket to the 2027 World Reining Championships at CS Ranch in Switzerland! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

The excitement level was high as we added two more riders to Team Australia, however the most rewarding part for us was seeing the excitement from Oli and Chen as the news was announced! The opportunities they are providing for riders worldwide is astronomical and we are forever grateful! 🌍

Amanda Halliday has been one of the first Australian riders to complete the International Reining Academy in Beijing and today she not only took out the NRHA Non Pro, but she became the very first Australian rider to qualify for the World Reining Championships for 2027 at CS Ranch in Switzerland! Amanda rode A Lil Cash n Gun “Mocha” and had every person here (especially the Aussie’s) cheering with joy as she left the arena with a qualifying score of 70! 😍🙌🏼

Amanda you have dedicated yourself to every part of the program here in Beijing and let that guide you in the show pen at your first international show.

We are extremely proud of you! 👏🏼
