Today 21st March is Harmony day Everyone Belongs
It is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism and the successful integration of migrants into our community.
Why orange?
Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Day. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
This week our joeys celebrated harmony day by inviting their youth members to present something on their home country. We had a variety of presentations from Africa, Brazil, England, and Vietnam. We are continuing this next week as we had a few more to youth who are presenting
