Well another round is done and dusted but certainly was not how we were expecting things to go. But in usual Scarey team fashion a race meeting is never without the drama. All began in the lead up when we came to realise that Jonny was going to have to sit this one out regardless of how hard we worked it just wasn’t going to come together in time. So with that decision made it was a chance to put that effort and time into Bretts car and get him on track again. With certainly nothing to prove Brett was there to have some fun although simple issues with the car seemed to be evident and so race day became a tuning day for him. Isaac showed racing is in his blood again taking out first place overall in the 1200’s with very little prep, but a lot of race tape and repairs (thanks Simon, Jonny & Makaydee) after an incident in Race 2 left the car and Isaacs nerves worse for wear. Thankfully although not good to witness, both drivers were luckily enough to walk away simply just bruised and sore. However after a reassessment on Isaacs car looks like there is definitely some work to be done before Collie so it will once again be late nights and early mornings in the shed, but we look forward to seeing everyone again on track on May 18th

Well what a weekend we had at Collie Motorplex, with politics and mechanical issues proving once again that the Collie curse against Scarey Racing Team is still going strong for the 2026 season.
Big congratulations to Isaac though who who pulled off his first Collie Round Overall win. Jonathan also put up good fight (including a win against the stewards) even though he is still faced with constant setbacks setting up the 1600, finishing 7th overall. Big thanks go to Simon as always for his continued ongoing help and support, Ric for providing emergency vehicle support from Perth (including the JBL speaker to keep our spirits up, and the new Ryobi misting fan which was definitely appreciated by everyone) and to Makaydee & Toby for making their first early morning road trip to Collie for added support.
Thanks also go to our sponsors who all assist in various ways to keep the boys on track

So as usual it’s back to the shed for some minor adjustments before we see you all on track for the next round at Wanneroo in April.
