Its will sadness Mitcham Baptist Football Club share the news of the passing of Richard Dickins. A long time supporter of the club and father of past players notiably life member James ‘Jimi’ Dickins. The family would like to share details of the funeral to be held thia coming Friday 8th November and welcome anyone from the club familywhonwish to attend.

Dear Supporters, players (past and present) and Mitcham Families,

The club is saddened to inform its community that it will not be entering a team in the VCFA competition for 2023.

A number of factors have made it extremely difficult and played a part in the decision to withdraw. The committee, coaches and players who committed to 2023 worked hard to ensure we had a team but to no avail.

We would like to take the chance to thank everyone for their hard work and though Mitcham Purple won’t be on the field this season we look to a NEW start in 2024.

This new start will open the doors to people willing and able to re-build the club and grow its player and committee representation for the future. This could be you so please think over the next few months and if interested.

MITCHAM MILESTONE- MIKE FORD 300 GAMES

This Saturday we celebrate another champion of the club as Mike Ford becomes the 4th Mitcham Player to reach 300 Games. A selfless team player who has an outstanding work ethic, Mike is the player every team needs.

A multiple club award winner who has also served as team coach and on the club committee in his 2 decade involvement in the club. He gives his time to welcome new and returning players each year and ensures every spectator is welcomed and thanked.

A true gentleman is all aspects of the word, Mitcham Baptist Football Club would like to recognise his contribution and congratualte Mike on the milestone and the invaluable contribution he has made to the club.

Mike will play his 300th match in the Raiders game against Knox Churches at 1pm at Ballyshannassy Park this Saturday. We encourage friends, family, past players/teammates and supporters of Mike to attend and cheer him on in his big match.

MITCHAM MILESTONES- CHARLIE CLAPPISON 250 GAMES

Mitcham Baptist Football Club would liek to congratulate Charlie Clappison on reaching his 250th game for the club. In doing so Charlie became the 7th player in club history to reach the mark.
In his 250th game against underlights at Lilydale, Charlie scored his 61st goals which moved him into the top 6 All time goal scorers.

A long time club stalwart Charlie's influence has cross through multiple teams and in multiple postiions. A a hard team focused player even better person, Charlie is the quintessential Mitcham person putting the team first. Club best and fairest, cup winner and all star, Charlie is a ture champion of our club.

Its with great pleasure we congratulate Charlie on the acheivement and thank him for his long service to the Club!

MITCHAM MILESTONE- PAOLO ALBERTELLA 100 GAMES

In last weekends game for the Raiders Mitcham Veteran played his 100th game for Mitcham. It was a brilliantly fought match with Paolo featuring across the defensive line lending his experience and craft while combating a highly skilled attack.

For years Paolo has played a strong team game wearing his heart on his sleeve as he contributed to the team success. Willing to take on any role for the betterment of the team Paolo has found an effective niche in the Raiders line up.

MITCHAM MILESTONE- ALEX SMALL 100 GAMES

As we continue our season catch up Mitcham Baptist Football Club would like to congratulate Alexander Small on reaching his 100th Game for Mitcham. Alex acheived the mark in the Warriors match against Healesville on July 2nd.

Despite the game result not going to plan, "Smallsy" continued to lead by example and gave everything on the park for the team.

He has been an outstanding contributor since joining the club. He has acted as the clubs players rep the last 4 years while coaching and managing the Vikings and now Warriors during his time. He's a true team player and will contribute in any position on the park.

Congratulations to an outstanding person and much loved and admired member of the Mitcham Crew.

400 GAMES- JAMES 'JIMI' DICKINS

Another historic day for Mitcham Baptist Football Club with club recording its first player to reach 400 Games for the club in VCFA competition.

We wish to congratulate and acknowledge the outstanding achievement of James Dickins who on July 9th reached the 400 games mark in our home game against One FC at Ballyshannassy Park. The game was fantastically supported by his family, friends and numerous past players and administrators of the club.

'Jimi' bleeds Mitcham purple and has a deep connection to the club over 24years with roles as diverse as Club Founder, Club President, Team Coach and grounds keeper alongside his playing exploits.

A truly magnificant acheivement! 😀⚽️💜

NEW CLUB RECORD- ALL TIME GOAL SCORER

It's with great pleasure that Mitcham Baptist Football Club would like to announce our long time ALL TIME GOAL SCORING RECORD was officially broken today.

Tim Inglis scored his 110th goal for the club today surpsing the mark of 109 held by club scoring legend Kimus Tak whose record stood for well over a decade.

Tim reached the milestone with the Mitcham Warriors 2nd goal in today's Division 1 drawn match against Gideon's Warriors at Ballyshannassy Park.

Congratulations Tim on achieving the milestone.🤩⚽️💜

THE 100 CLUB HAS A NEW MEMBER.

Mitcham Baptist Football Club would like to congratulate our newest member to the 100 goal club Tim Inglis. He may not have won the race to be 2nd on the list but he is thoroughly deserving of the honour, one he achieved with his 2nd goal in the Warriors win at Yarra Valley yesterday.

Tim has always been a player his team mates can count on to break a line, turn a game and help inspire to achieve team success. The club could not be prouder of Tim and the achievement.

Congratulations to Tim on joining the exclusive 100 club. He now embarks on a race with Alex Simmons to break the club record by the end of the season. Best of luck gentlemen.

OUR NEWEST CENTURION, Goals record in sight- Alex Simmons

It's with great pride the club wishes to congratulate Alex Simmons on reaching 100 goals for Mitcham Baptist Football Club today. Alex is a mainstay of Mitcham over many years and has played a variety of roles both on and off the field for the club. He is only the 2nd person to every reach the mark at the club.

Following his brace today now sits on 101 goals and in making this mark its fitting he is closing in on our all time record held by good friend Kimus Tak (109).

On behalf of the whole club, congratulations on this outstanding achievement.

Goals Milestone- 50th Goal

Congratulations to Yash Hemdev who today reached his 50th Goal for the club. Yash has been in outstanding form for the Raiders this year scoring on average more than 3 goals a game. Well Done Yash!
