Round 15, That's a Wrap! 🥹

And just like that... Round 15 is done and our home-and-away season has come to an end! We said we weren't ready for it, and we definitely weren't lying.

Our Year 3s, 5s and 6s finished their seasons against our Bovell buddies from Towns, while our Year 4s had a bye for the final round. Our Year 7s, 8s and 9s all faced Dunsborough Blue, with plenty of cracking footy to finish off another brilliant season in the red, white and black.

Our Year 3s certainly finished their season with a bang! What a little force this group is proving to be. From those first few games at the beginning of the year to what they are producing now, their growth in skills, confidence and understanding of the game has been fantastic to watch. Our Saints babies have well and truly found their feet, and we can't wait to watch them continue their journey in the red, black and white.

Our Year 5s contested hard as always and once again showed exactly what this group is about. They hunt the footy, compete fiercely and leave absolutely everything out on the track. They've played an exciting brand of football all season and continue to prove themselves as a strong, determined group with plenty of exciting years ahead.

Our Year 6s finished their junior-field journey with an absolute thriller. There were tough contests, big knocks and plenty of exciting footy, but when these boys switched on and played their best team football, they once again showed that they are a force to be reckoned with. After four years together on the junior oval, it's time for the next challenge, the big field! We can't wait to watch this group take that step next season, and we reckon they are well and truly ready for it.

Our Year 7s put together a competitive game against Dunsborough Blue and had the Sharks neck-and-neck at half time. Unfortunately, Dunsborough were able to pull away in the second half, but our Sainties fought hard and gave them a great contest. Their season isn't finished just yet either, with this group heading into their first ever final next weekend against Dunsborough White! Good luck, fellas, we'll all be behind you!

Our Year 8s had a cracking final game against Dunsborough Blue despite arriving with just 12 players. In a fantastic display of the spirit of junior football, the Blues sent some players our way and the two sides were able to put together a solid contest across all four quarters. It was great to see the kids embrace some new teammates, enjoy their footy and finish their season playing the game exactly as it should be played. A fantastic way to wrap up the year.

And our Year 9s took on a tidy Dunsborough outfit for what was their last ever regular-season game in Saints colours. They produced some great football and did themselves proud once again. For many of these boys, Saints has been a huge part of their lives for years, so it's certainly a little bittersweet knowing this chapter is nearing its end. But there's still some business to take care of! We wish them all the very best as they head into their final next weekend. Go get 'em, boys!

Saints of the Week ⭐

Harley - what a season this kid has had! It has been so special watching Harley light up this year. Under that quiet exterior is one seriously fierce competitor, and this week he once again showed the determination that has become such a feature of his game. He took the game on, competed strongly and refused to back down. We can't wait to see what Harley can do when he gets unleashed on the full field next year!

Beau - produced some beautiful ruck work, palming the ball directly to the advantage of his midfielders and giving them plenty of opportunities around the contest. Beau works incredibly hard for his team and backed up his ruck work with some fantastic, effective handpasses. Another great game from a player who is always willing to do the team things. Well done, Beau!

Jenson - what a way to finish his first season as a Saint! We are so glad Jenson found his way to us this year because he has been an incredible addition to this group. What a competitor! When the ball heads in his direction, his teammates know it's in safe hands. He attacks the contest, competes hard and uses the footy cleanly when he wins it. We can't wait to see what he brings in season number two!

Tayne - certainly knows where the big sticks are! Tayne's silky skills were on full display as he slotted four goals, provided a dangerous option forward of the ball and created opportunities with his elusive running and decisive ball use. He always seems to have that little bit of extra time when the footy is in his hands. A fantastic performance, Tayne!

🎉🔴⚪⚫ 50 GAMES – JETT ⚫⚪🔴🎉

Another fantastic milestone for our Year 6 crew as Jett celebrated 50 games of junior footy!

Jett joined our Saints team last year and has been a brilliant addition to this group, bringing plenty of energy, speed and some very handy extra legs to the side. It didn't take him long to settle in, and we absolutely love the way Jett goes about his footy.

One of Jett's greatest weapons is his pace. He's becoming really clever at positioning himself around the contest, ready to receive that quick handball out—and once it's in his hands, it's turn and burn! Give Jett a little bit of space and he's off, using those wheels to drive the ball forward and head towards goals.

As his understanding of the game continues to develop, we're seeing Jett learn exactly where to put himself to become really dangerous. We can definitely see a future of him becoming an absolute pest up and down the wing, finding space, taking the game on and leaving a few opposition players in his dust along the way!

While he loves getting a run through the midfield, one of the things we value most about Jett is his versatility. Put him wherever the team needs him and he'll give it everything he's got. In those tough moments when the team needs someone to step up, Jett is always willing to put in the work and give 100% for his mates.

He's quick, skilful and exciting to watch, but he's also a positive kid who is incredibly coachable. He listens, wants to learn and genuinely enjoys being out there running around and playing footy with his mates—which is exactly what junior footy should be about.

Congratulations on reaching 50 games, Jett! Keep backing that speed, keep finding that space and keep turning and burning. We reckon there are plenty more runs down the wing and snags waiting for you in the next 50!

🎉🔴⚪⚫ 50 GAMES – HARLEY ⚫⚪🔴🎉

Round 13 we celebrated another special Year 6 milestone as Harley clocked up 50 games in Saints colours!

Another inaugural member of this group, Harley has been there from the very beginning, and wowee... what a season this kid has had!

We've always known Harley is a great little footballer. The skills have always been there, but perhaps the biggest thing Harley needed was to believe in just how good he could be. Well, this year he did exactly that, and boy has it been exciting to watch!

One of the quieter members of our Year 6 team, Harley certainly lets his footy do the talking. His skills have gone to another level this season, but it has been his relentless hunt for the ball that has really stood out. He attacks the footy with purpose, competes hard and has developed a real drive to win every contest he gets near.

Once Harley has his sights set on the footy, he doesn't give up easily. His second efforts, pressure and determination have become such a big part of his game, and the confidence he now plays with has allowed everyone to see just how much talent this little champ has.

There is something pretty special about watching a young player start to truly believe in themselves, and that's exactly what we've seen from Harley this year. Every week he has backed himself a little more, taken his opportunities and continued to show us what he is capable of.

Harley might be one of the quieter Sainties off the field, but his footy has made plenty of noise this season! We couldn't be prouder of the player he is becoming and, with the way he is developing, we have a feeling there are some pretty exciting things ahead.

Congratulations on your first 50 games, Harley. What an incredible season you've had, little champ, we can't wait to see what you bring in game 51 and beyond, and especially what you can do next year!

Round 14

And just like that... only one round to go! 😭 Round 14 brought another huge weekend of footy as our Sainties took to the field for their second-last games of the season.

Our Year 3–6 teams were at home taking on Dunsborough, with plenty of great footy on display across the morning. At this point in the season, it is fantastic to see just how much our younger teams have developed, the skills, confidence and football smarts have come a very long way since Round 1!

Our Year 7s faced Vasse in another great contest, while our Year 8s and 9s kicked off the weekend on Friday night, heading to Vasse to take on Towns under lights. With the season almost at an end, there was no shortage of effort across the ground as our Saints continued to throw everything into their footy.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Xavier - earned Saint of the Week for his fantastic effort and willingness to get involved. He worked hard, showed some really exciting moments of football and continued to grow in confidence as the game went on. A great reward for the improvement we've been seeing from Xave—keep backing yourself!

Lukas - has been playing his absolute guts out over the past few weeks and thoroughly deserved this week's recognition. He's going in hard, taking the knocks and continuing to get back up and give everything he's got. We love seeing the determination, toughness and effort he is bringing to his footy!

Len - ran all day and played an outstanding wingman's game. He positioned himself smartly both behind and forward of the ball, and when he got his hands on it, he used it efficiently to put his teammates into advantageous positions. A fantastic example of smart, team-first footy.

Jagger - gave absolutely everything from the first siren to the last. He ran his guts out all game and applied some ridiculous defensive pressure, refusing to give his opponent an easy possession. Another huge effort from one of our most reliable competitors.

Weylin - attacked the game from defence, running in straight lines, putting his head over the footy and winning plenty of important one-on-one contests behind the ball. When he won possession, he showed great composure and used the ball well by foot to find his teammates. Well done, Weylin!

Jaxon Waugh - once again showed his team-first attitude with his accountability in defence. He took some strong lead-up marks on the wing and continually looked to bring his teammates into the game with his quick hands. Another great display of selfless footy from Jaxon.

One more round, Sainties! It feels like Round 1 was only yesterday, so we're definitely not ready to pack away the boots just yet. Let's finish the season the way we started it—with plenty of great footy, big smiles and Saints spirit! 🔴⚪⚫

These East Perth Football Club Inc colts debuts just keep rolling in for our saints alumni!

Well done to twins, Saxon and Hugo from our 2025 Year 9 team on their debut! Saxon and Hugo joined the Saints in year 7 and boy were we lucky they landed in the red, black and white. They became an integral part of the team and we just knew it wouldn’t be long before we saw them in the black and blue. Well done fellas!!

Round 13

We are getting dangerously close to the end of the season now... and quite frankly, we're not ready for it! 😭

Under clear skies this week, our Saints were treated to some fantastic conditions and there was plenty of cracking junior footy on display across the grounds.

Our Year 3-6 teams hosted Wanderers at home and showcased some outstanding, competitive football. There were plenty of hard-fought contests, great skills and exciting passages of play across all four games as our younger Saints continue to show just how far they have come this season.

Our Year 7s headed over to Vasse and apparently decided everyone's heart rates hadn't been tested enough this season! They produced yet another nail-biter that went right down to the wire, eventually getting themselves over the line for a thrilling win. This team certainly knows how to keep their supporters on the edge of their seats!

The Year 8s also faced Vasse and came up against a very solid Royals outfit that proved just a little too strong on the day. With a few injuries and several players away, our boys were working with a depleted side, but they dug deep and continued to compete. A really solid effort in challenging circumstances and plenty to be proud of.

Our Year 9s enjoyed a bye this week, and at this point in the season, we're sure a few bodies appreciated the rest! They'll be refreshed and ready to go as we head into the final two rounds of the season.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Kye (Year 3) - had an absolute cracking game this week and showed everyone just how difficult he can be to play against. He laid plenty of strong tackles, chased with determination and refused to give up on a contest. His pressure, persistence and effort were on full display all game. Well done, Kye!

Ollie (Year 3) - had an awesome game, competing strongly in the ruck and then working hard once the ball hit the ground. He chased, competed and wasn't afraid to get himself right amongst the action. Plenty of determination from Ollie this week and a very well-deserved recognition!

Andrew (Year 4) - earned Saint of the Week for his fantastic effort and work rate. He continually found ways to get involved, chased hard and showed a real willingness to keep pushing and improving throughout the game. Great job, Andrew!

Archie (Year 5) - put together another solid and reliable game of football. Tough in the contest, quick across the ground and very skilful with the footy, Archie has been a fantastic asset to his team this season and once again showed exactly what he can bring.

Kaden (Year 6) - had some great moments throughout the game and showed just what he is capable of when he backs himself. When Kaden trusts his ability and gets himself involved, he can create some really positive plays for his team. Keep backing yourself, Kaden!

Daniel (Year 7) - made the most of his opportunities, slotting two very important goals in another incredibly close game. After training brilliantly on Thursday night and running hard throughout the session, Daniel brought that same effort into game day—and it paid off. Great game, Daniel!

Tommy (Year 8) - what a season this kid has had! Tommy ran his guts out from start to finish and pulled down some pretty spectacular marks along the way. It was a tough game against a strong opposition, but he never gave in and continued to work tirelessly to drive his team forward. Another huge effort from one of our most consistent performers this season.

Only two rounds left, Sainties! Let's make the most of them. 🔴⚪⚫

One of our Saints star kickers, Leo, recently had the opportunity to be part of the Telethon Guard of Honour for the West Coast Eagles at their clash against Collingwood!

What an awesome experience to be right there amongst the action, welcoming the players onto the ground in front of a huge crowd. A pretty special footy memory for one of our young Saints!

We absolutely love seeing our Saints getting opportunities like this and representing our club beyond the local footy field.

Well done, Leo — we hope you soaked up every second of it!

Round 12 gave us a little bit of everything... although mostly rain, wind and more rain!

Our Year 3s, 4s, 5s and 6s headed to Dunsborough on Friday night and were greeted with some pretty gnarly conditions. As Forrest Gump once said, "We been through every kind of rain there is... little bitty stingin' rain... and big ol' fat rain. Rain that flew in sideways." Well, Friday night we definitely got the sideways variety!

But it takes a little more than sideways rain to stop our Sainties. They got out there, embraced the wet and wild conditions, kicked some snags, celebrated some very special 50-game milestones and, most importantly, just had an absolute ball playing footy with their mates.

Our Year 7s had a rest with a bye, while the Year 8s returned to action on Saturday for a gruelling contest against Countries. It was a tough, physical game that demanded plenty from the boys, but they continued to compete and work hard for one another.

The Year 9s also hit the field on Saturday for a cracking game against Dunsborough. Another strong contest from our oldest Saints, who continue to bring plenty of intensity and exciting football each week.

Saints of the Week ⭐

Mackenzie (Year 3) – what a way to embrace her first Friday night game! Mack brought amazing energy, threw herself into the contests and played the entire game with a huge smile on her face. We absolutely loved watching her confidence grow as the game went on. Well done, Mack!

Flynn (Year 4) – earned Saint of the Week for his fantastic running and dash and his ability to continually move the ball forward. His willingness to take the game on, attack the space and keep pushing forward was brilliant to watch. Flynn continues to improve every single week—keep it up!

Lenny (Year 5) – played a wonderful, hard-working game in some seriously tough conditions. He never stopped trying, contributed all night and performed plenty of those important team-first acts. He even managed to snag a couple of goals in the wet to top off a cracking game.

Thomas (Year 6) – did a fantastic job down back on Friday night, standing strong in defence when his team needed him. One particularly important goal-saving effort helped keep the Saints in front and was a huge moment in the game.

Jordan (Year 8) – Mr Team First! Jordan never hesitates to do the little things that help his teammates. His shepherds are elite, often buying his teammates those precious extra seconds they need to get the ball out and away. A cracking game from Jordy—made even more impressive after Mum had to make the mad dash for a forgotten mouthguard! 😂

Harper O'Byrne (Year 9) – was back to his line-breaking best, rebounding from half-back and attacking the football at pace. He used the ball extremely well by foot in tough conditions and gave his team plenty of drive coming out of defence.

Jasper Buck (Year 9) – was involved in plenty of scoring opportunities and brought fantastic effort throughout the game. He chased, tackled and continually worked to move the ball forward, helping keep the footy locked inside the Saints' attacking half.

Sideways rain, soggy jumpers and muddy boots—but still plenty of smiles. Another weekend that reminded us you don't need perfect conditions to have a cracking game of junior footy!
