Brent was a brother to Leon and Ricky and an uncle to Hadyn, Jarrad and Ryan, and a great-uncle to Angus, Lucas, Xavier, Oscar and Albert C**k.

Brent was also a proud and accomplished footballer with the Bute Football Club .
A 3-time A Grade Premiership Player and Premiership Captain. His many football achievements included 4 x most Mail Medal votes, 4 x Best & Fairest Runner-Up, 2 Most Serviceable Player awards, 2 Most Effective Player awards and Best Backman, to name just a few.

Today we say thanks to Murray for coaching the Under 17's the past four seasons. Murray has worked tirelessly in this time, with low numbers at the start of 2024 it would've been easy for the club to not fill a side. But with true "Murray" grit and allot of work behind the scenes we filled a U17's team, which grew and with Murray's guidance, 10 players have gone on to play some form of A Grade. The club will benefit for years to come because of Murray's contribution.
