The Byron Bay War Memorial Swimming Pool will officially reopen on 22 September 2025 – just in time for spring! We can’t wait to welcome the community back for a season of fun, fitness, and sunshine.

What you need to know:

Pool passes & tickets go on sale from 12 September at Fishheads Takeaway.

Professionally managed by Fishheads, ensuring a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for all.

A much-loved community space, proudly maintained in partnership with the Byron Shire Council.

And here’s the best part – you can enjoy your Fishheads takeaway by the pool, right in front of the ocean. What a vibe!

Whether you’re looking to cool off with the family, get your laps in, or simply relax poolside with great food and a stunning view, this is the place to be this season.

Pool Notice! This weekend we have a Polo Tournament in the 50m Pool, the pool grounds and small pools are open to public but the 50m Pool will be closed for the tournament.

Saturday 5th April 9am - 6pm
Sunday 6th April 9am - 3pm

To our patrons and guests, the safety of our staff and customers is our priority so due to the weather forecast and Tropical Cyclone Alfred the Byron Bay Swimming Pool will be CLOSED UNTIL THE CYCLONE HAS PASSED AND IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.

We will be reassessing the situation over the weekend and will keep you updated. We hope you all understand and we very much look forward to reopening once the extreme weather has passed.

We remind all pool users and guests that entry fees apply to all including spectators and are not included in the price of class fees. Any passes from previous seasons are void. We ask that the pool, surrounding facilities and all staff are treated with respect.

Please note that a number of school carnivals will be held at the Pool in the coming days. During these times we will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

The swimming season is well and truly underway. We are now open from 6am every day until 7pm during the week and from 8am until 6pm on weekends. For all enquiries regarding classes such as Aqua-X and swim lessons, please contact the coaches directly.
