To meet the Child Safe Standards and implement the Integrity Framework and Code of Conduct
Procedures, the Cricket Organisation will:
1. Commit:
a. b. Discuss & sign this declaration as a committee to formally endorse our CNSW
Integrity Framework and Code of Conduct Procedures and record the endorsement in
the minutes.
Promote this declaration widely through the club network, for example, by adding this
signed declaration to our website / social media, sending to our email database,
displaying in clubrooms etc.
c. Appoint a Fair Play Officer (and/or Child Safety Officer) and promote their details to
families / members of the Club.
2. Implement:
a. Regular discussion occurs and actions are taken to meet the Child Safe Standards
(see Cricket Australia’s Child Safety and Cricket NSW’s Working With Children and
Child Safeguarding webpages and for support resources).
Ensure all relevant personnel (including coaches, managers, volunteers and officials
working with children) hold a valid Working With Children Check in accordance with
Cricket NSW requirements.
3. Report - reporting breaches of Integrity Policies without delay to Cricket NSW’s Integrity
Unit.
4. b. Learn & Embed - continuously learn to build a welcoming, fair, safe and inclusive culture
in our organisation through:
a. discussions with Children & Young People, families and adults involved in our
b. c. organisation;
education through awareness workshops and resources provided; and
regular committee and broader reviews of our policies, procedures and practices.

NSW Country Emus are off to Scotland again this year (u27) 🏏

We are proud to introduce the first of our EMU Legends series — The Players Behind the Tradition.

First up is EMU No. 110, Rick McCosker, who represented the EMUs from 1964–67 and toured New Zealand.

From his early days growing up on a sheep farm in Inverell to representing Australia, NSW and the EMUs, Rick reflects on the memories, people and experiences that helped shape his cricket journey.

A great tradition is built by great people — and we are proud to share their stories.

Far North Coast Masters NSW Cricket welcomes nominations for selection for upcoming NSW State Championships (November 8th - 10th 2026) which will be hosted in Dubbo.

Places are limited so get your nominations in as soon as possible so that we can work out numbers for the trip. We are seeking to send one team for the event.

Byron Bay won two grand finals in the Coastal League Minor and Major Premiers last Saturday with second-and third-grade beating Terranora and Bangalow, respectively.

Second-grade wins

In the second-grade final Teranorra batted first and were all out for 123 with Byron’s best bowler being Sebastian Campbell who took four for 18.

‘In reply we started batting and got none for 30 when a big rail squall came through,’ Byron Club President, Baz Daniels, told The Echo.

‘Then we had a reduced target after the rain and needed 82 to win. Our opening batters, Stephen and Cameron Daniels, went back out onto the pitch and knocked off the 82 runs, winning the game without us losing a wicket. Cameron was 43 not out and Stephen was 33 not out.

‘We were minor premiers, We’d led the competition all year. Terranorra are a very good team and they actually beat us during the regular rounds in the competition, but we were just too strong on the day,’ he said.

Third-grade winners

The third-grade also won the grand final against Bangalow with Byron being bowled out for 150 runs. Greg Trevena 37, Adrian Simpkins 36, and Mark Williams 15.

Bangalow followed with 56 but was unable to meet Byron’s score in the end with Ryder Coles 14, Heath Chiggwidden and Adrian taking three wickets and captain Shaun Greening two. Heath also had two catches and one run out.
