It might sound cliche but the best moments since becomming a Coach have been watching my clients blossom with new confidence, determination and enthusiasm in what they can achieve! πΈ
Today marks the start of 8 weeks since taking on this new bootcamp venture and boy has it kicked my butt into shape, both physically and mentally! But I wouldn't have it any other way. It was a terrifying experience in the beginning. I know change can be difficult for alot of people and I expected a fair few of our members to drop off during the transition from Quantum to Tribe. What I didn't expect was just how much energy, enthusiasm and growth would explode with the new change! The entire community rallied around me and has supported me beyond belief and I couldn't appreciate my clients more π
We've found new ways to push each other, we've tried and accomplished new things, and we've set new goals for ourselves beyond what we used to think was possible ππ₯
Behind me is what started out as a deadhang challenge to me from my clients during a 'train the trainer' session, because I was doubting myself and my abilities. They pushed me to try it and so as an example to them i did it, completely expecting to fail and being ok with that. But instead I surprised myself and accomplished something I never could before, and I've only grown stronger and improved everyday since.
And as you can see it inspired all my other clients to jump in and give it a go too and let me tell you what an impact this one challenge has had on the entire membership base...
Running 4 classes a day I have many clients who have never met each other face to face or seen what level everybody else is at. Sometimes we have those who feel a little out of place because they think they are the only ones struggling with particular sessions or exercises. With everyone's achievements on the board showcasing a range of levels and abilities, suddenly my clients realised that there are others who come here that are on their level too. And they aren't out to compete against anyone but themselves. That alone gave them the confidence to step up and give it a go too! Almost 50% of the names on that board said 'I can't do it' but still they had this newfound confidence to want to try anyway. The look on their face when they realised they could do something new has been the best moments for me as a Coach. Now instead of turning up to class with the old shyness and excuses why they dont think they can do things, they've started turning up to class with this new attitude of 'yes I can' πͺ and it's completely changed the vibe of the place.
I love my clients, they challenge me as much as I challenge them and it keeps our journey burning strong π₯π If it dosen't challenge you it won't change you!

Stuart, 18 months ago I walked into your gym as a very anxious, shy and depressed person. I had no direction or passion for life and I had one more try left in me to save myself from completely giving up. I could never be more grateful that it was you who met me at the door that day and warmly introduced yourself as my new coach.
Since that day you have been far from just my fitness coach, you helped me find myself, my spark and my passion for life again. You saw more in me than I could ever see in myself and built me up one struggle at a time into a much stronger person.
Today you passed me the torch, but you also passed me a legacy. I can only hope to influence peoples lives for the better in the same way you kindled mine and grew my flame.
Today you coached your last few sessions at Quantum Fitness before you closed your doors. But they won't be closed for long, Monday they will reopen as my new bootcamp venture 'Tribe Energy'. But as a last send off, you definitely put us through our paces with circuit and boxing. I will really miss lying on the floor sweating and catching my breath as you ask everyone around me if I'm still alive...
Although you won't be straying too far from the action for now, it will still never feel the same. I wish you all the success and hapiness on your new adventures, but no matter where you land just know I will never stop seeing you as Coach π

Finally back in the gym after a week in COVID isolation! Not the best way to kick off the week before the doors open on my new venture but the positive spin is that it gave me time to organise and plan the coming weeks π There's alot of excitement in the air!! I'm so happy to be back in the place I love, being a part of my amazing tribe of women pushing themselves to be better everyday πͺI couldn't help but even join in with the morning crew for our Accumulator session to start the day (ps I didn't volunteer, they just wanted to watch me sweat.. gotta entertain my people π€·ββοΈπ)

Day 2 of boxing certification smashed ππ
Blows my mind to think I'm now qualified in coaching boxing and yet I've never felt more on the right path. I was surprised in myself just how much I enjoyed learning and emphasising all the intricacies of technique and loved all the extra challenges thrown my way. After 2 full on days of boxing however every muscle in my body is aching and I'm not sure I'll be able to move tomorrow, but I'll also conquer that challenge when I come to it π Tonight I'll be riding that high of once again accomplishing something I never thought I could achieve π Oh and Quantum girls I'm coming for you ππ

Day one of boxing certification complete!!
What an amazing experience! It was incredibly nerve racking walking into this big fancy gym just to do this course and I felt super intimidated by the thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb in a room full of buff gym guys. And yet it turned out to be a room full of incredible supportive people who all felt just as out of place as I did. The instructors from Thump were amazing with a very hands on approach to teaching us proper technique... I learned so much and loved every second of it! I'm so glad I pushed myself to overcome my fears and social anxieties. I've made some new connections with awesome people and feel more confident than ever that I can achieve whatever I put my mind too πππ₯

The last few weeks for me have been full of growth, conquering fears and finding confidence in myself. The universe always seems to provide good timing to keep me moving in the right direction.
Just days after completing my Cert 3 and being ready to take a step into coaching, Stuart was struck out by covid! It was in my hands to either step back and see sessions cancelled for the week or dive in the deep end praying I'd find some new confidence in myself and take lead.
I TOOK THE DIVE.
The fear was real. What if I screwed up things and embarrased myself infront of my friends and peers? What if people wouldn't take to me because I'm not a typical 'fit gym looking' type of girl? What if my anxiety got the better of me and I couldn't bring the confidence or energy required to lead the girls?
But just like that the Quantum community rallied around me and encouraged me the whole way through! I've never experienced so much support and push for taking a leap in the deep end and I can't thank you all enough for allowing me to coach you these past weeks.
I see the transformations that our fitness group has given to myself and other members and as a coach I will strive to bring that same purpose and passion for all of you π

You dont really think about it but its usually everyone else who sees all your progress before you do.
I had a bit of a mind blowing moment this week when a wonderful lady from bootcamp passed on a pair of leggings to me thinking that I would get more use out of them than herself. I accepted them graciously but as I looked at the tag I noticed it was a smaller size than anything I currently wear. I thought to myself hmmm yeah I might eventually fit into that but it certainly won't be today.
In contrast, it's been a running joke lately in the sessions among a few of us who notice that I keep holding my leggings up when running and jumping to keep them from sliding down (and it's not just the pants, the un**es haven't been holding their own either π). But despite this, I've not even considered it's time to go down another size. In my mind I look in the mirror and still see the same fat girl looking back at me. She's changed in some ways but not enough to feel a massive difference and she's definitely not to the point she's going to fit into these new leggings.
HOW WRONG I WAS.
I had prepared myself for the usual feeling of dissapointment but as I slid them on they were found to be a perfect fit! I was literally gobsmacked. I haven't worn anything in this size for over a decade, and honestly I never thought I ever would again. For all the hard work and progress I still couldn't see how far I'd come. It took someone else to show me and I can't thank her enough. That one small gesture made such a huge impact on how I saw myself.
It finally gave me the courage to pass off all my old bigger sized clothes that I'd been hoarding and hanging onto for months in total denial that I still needed them even though they were just hanging off me nowadays. The mental hurdles and changing how I look and feel about myself has been a far bigger challenge than anything physical. I can't thank my amazing group of gym girls enough for their positivity, support and encouragement everyday ππ
