Central Lakes parkrun

Directions Website

Central Lakes parkrun Central Lakes parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run/walk put on by the community for the community at 7a The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Central Lakes parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful course and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Print your barcode to bring along to the run, then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Congratulations to all 101 finishers who joined us as Central Lakes this morning for event #528 🥳

Welcome Michael for joining us for his first ever parkrun and congrats to Wendy Payne for her 25 milerstone 🙌👌

Massive thank you to all the volunteers that made this mornings event possible. Without you, parkrun wouldn't happen, and having such wonderful volunteers in our community who step up really make our jobs as RD's easier 🙏🤩

Results are live, photos are up from Alexiah or more to come from Tracey.

The volunteer roster is full for next week, but we are in need of a Timekeeper for 31/10, and a few other important roles for November. We also need a Turn Around Marshal for NYD.
If anyone is available for any of the available roles, please comment below, PM the page or send an email to [email protected]

Kaylee Course Checker says the rain has left a little bit of debris on the path but it is still good to go for all her friends. She was very excited to see everyone tomorrow but Mum has not kept her promise to stay away from netball!
