🌧️ Wet weather lesson update

Due to the weather, riding will continue when appropriate and safe. However, lessons will still go ahead with theory, practicals and demonstrations!

For those part-leasing with us, this is a great opportunity to ask questions specific to your horse and learn more about their individual needs.

For everyone else, it’s the perfect time to ask those questions you’ve always wanted to know the answers to and expand your horse knowledge.

And if that’s not enough to convince you, come and give our school horses some extra love! They deserve just as much attention out of the saddle as they do under it. ❤️

✨ Important stable update ✨

It’s been a VERY busy start to October, and it looks like we won’t be slowing down anytime soon!

Lessons | Glasshouse Mountains Riding School

I’m now coaching private and small-group lessons at Glasshouse Mountains Riding School every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, plus fortnightly Mondays. Spots are very limited, lesson horses are available, and I’m feeling very blessed to have a great student roster already underway 🫶

I am still taking bookings for private off-property lessons and training for 2026. But closed for on-property training, sale prep and rehabilitation until 2027.

Lady | Competition Season

Lady will be attending her final competition of 2026 on 31/10 at Northcoast Active-Riders Group. We may even back it up with the Caboolture Dressage members’ day on 01/11 — watch this space 👀

Waz | Training Block

Waz will be seeing a lot more of the arena next month as he heads into a six-week training block before the Christmas break. Looking forward to getting stuck into some more consistent work with our baby boy.

Lottie | An Update

Lottie is currently undergoing further diagnostic investigations due to recurring ulcers and unexplained lameness in her right foreleg. Unfortunately, she’ll be out of action for the foreseeable future while we work towards getting some answers. We’ll keep everyone updated as we know more.

Northcoast Active-Riders Group Club Championships 2026 🏆

What a weekend with my girl 🥹

Prep 3 was called by Karen Kruger and even with a caller I still managed to put in a course error 😂🙈

We definitely didn’t put together our best test, but we got two canter transitions and both times she picked up the correct lead. For us, that is a HUGE win!

It was our first time doing Prep 3 and our first time cantering off property, so there was a lot that was new for Lady. However, the whole weekend was so calm and organised, which was such a welcome change for us.

Some of our marks were lost due to lack of impulsion, but I’m actually really happy with that. We’ve spent the entire year rebuilding Lady’s confidence off property, and seeing her stay settled and rideable while we introduced canter away from home is so much more important to me right now.

And somehow we came away Reserve Champion Overall 🤎🥹

A huge thank you to Wendy Bannerot and Horseland Sunshine Coast for sponsoring the overall championships. Lady enjoyed a cryo treatment with Wendy yesterday and has also found a new healthy treat that she absolutely loves 🤎

Day Four & Five: BNE CDI Recap

Both QUASIR DE CHARRY & WUNDERBAR BLACK 59 made it down the centreline to compete in the Grand Prix, with both boys qualifying for Saturday’s Grand Prix Freestyle.

And seeing our plaits around the grounds was such a good feeling, thank you Fiona Edwards Bassingthwaighte and Nicole Sherwell

On Saturday, Heather Currie made the decision to withdraw from the Grand Prix Freestyle and put the horse before the sport.

I’m so grateful to have met and cared for these two beautiful horses and to have been a small part of their The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI experience.

Heather, you were an absolute pleasure to work for. Thank you for trusting me with these two beautiful boys 🤎

Day Three: BNE CDI | 17/09/26

Yesterday was another huge day! 🫠

The day started at 5:30am and I didn’t sit down until my head hit the pillow at 9pm!

Plaits started early and the boys were groomed and presented to perfection for the FEI trot-up using Hairy Pony products.

QUASIR DE CHARRY and WUNDERBAR BLACK 59 were both accepted ✅

What an experience it has been to groom for Heather Currie this year. So grateful to be part of the team and to experience The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI life with these two boys 🤎

Day Two: BNE CDI | 16/09/26

Too busy doing the job to get any photos or videos today — I think that’s a good sign that we’re prepared! 😂

Both boys were bathed this afternoon using Equinade - Premium Animal & Leather Care Products shampoos and hot oiled with Hi Shine Equine, ready to be plaited tomorrow for the trot-up in the afternoon.
