2026 Solahart Cairns Junior Open - Nominations Open!

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Solahart Cairns Junior Open, taking place on Monday 29 June and Tuesday 30 June.

✅ 18-Hole, 13-Hole and 9-Hole two-day events
✅ 9-Hole Modified, 6-Hole Modified and 3-Hole Modified events on Tuesday

All players will receive a complimentary gift, with lunch provided on both days (lunch packs on Monday and a post-round lunch on Tuesday).

🏆 Presentations will be held following play on Tuesday, 30 June.

✅2025/26 FNQ Junior Boys Selection (18 Holes) Points Event.
✅An FNQ TeeMates District Points Challenge (round one) for 18 Hole and 9 Hole juniors who are members of TeeMates
✅This is also a 2026 FNQ Junior Order of Merit event for all divisions.

Golf Australia and FNQ Golf is excited to announce that the TeeMates Junior Emerging Talent (JET) Program is coming to Far North Queensland in 2026!
The 2026 program delivers a two-day practical coaching camp with face-to-face sessions, plus additional support throughout the year via online sessions and CoachNow — giving participants ongoing access to development opportunities.

𝗧𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗷𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁:
• Be aged 10–17 years
• Be a financial member of a GA affiliated club
• Be a financial member of TeeMates (to access the program at no cost)
• Hold an official Golf Australia handicap of 25.4 or less
• Commit to both days of the camp
• Commit to a minimum of 4 TeeMates sessions

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀:
• FREE for financial TeeMates Connect/Plus members (criteria applies)
• $150 for non-TeeMates members with a GA handicap of 25.4 or less

With the 2025 Junior Golf season coming to an end, we celebrated our year with the end-of-season presentation on Sunday, 26th October. ⛳️

The Junior Golf Club of the Year is determined by the average nett scores at each junior event, with points awarded based on each team’s nett position throughout the season.

🥇 1st – Atherton Golf Club – 814 points
🥈 2nd – Half Moon Bay Golf Club – 740 points
🥉 3rd – Cairns Golf Club – 702 points
