Oh What a Feeling: Luki scores on debut North Queensland Toyota Cowboys forward Heilum Luki capped off a strong NRL debut with a try late in Thursday night's win over the Newcastle Knights, earning our Oh What a Feeling moment for Round 3 - proudly brought to you by Toyota and the North Queensland Toyota Dealers!

Luki: It's all I've wanted to do since I was little kid North Queensland Toyota Cowboys forward Heilum Luki following his NRL debut in Thursday night's 36-20 win over the Newcastle Knights.

Central Scorpions have ceased activities for the 2021 season. This year, Central Scorpions was not able to reach an agreement with the Cairns District Rugby League for the continued use of Jones Park. In the past, Central Scorpions ran the Jones Park canteen, and donations from the running of the canteen given to the Jones Park Board by Central Scorpions, as part of our agreement with the Jones Park Board, helped maintain the grounds, and allowed us to retain Jones Park as our home ground. Without a home ground, our registration numbers for this year, are markedly down, and insufficient, as determined by the Far North Queensland Rugby League, to participate in this season. We would like to thank the FNQRL for offering their commitment to Central Scorpions in helping us to hopefully secure a ground so that we can continue as a club in the 2022 season. We would also like to thank all players, parents, and volunteers who have tirelessly and selflessly helped the club over the years and hope that our club will have the opportunity to see you again in the 2022 season. In the interests of transparency, a letter from the FNQRL outlining the above, but with personal information removed, is posted here.

School holiday training is on for our U7s, U9s, and U12s. We do still have places available, so feel free to bring a friend. Games begin the Saturday after next.

My condolences to the family of Tommy Raudonikis who died today, aged 70.
He played for Newton, West's, NSW and Australia.
He was fiercely loyal, tough and honest.
A wonderful contribution to a great game by a unique character.
RIP Tommy!
