Another big weekend for the with a mix of last-minute sends, tough conditions, and strong finishes.
⛰️ Buffalo Stampede Trail Run – 10 km
In true Tay style… what else would you do the day before heading off on a three-week bikepacking adventure?
Tay Jack jumped into a last-minute entry and tackled the Buffalo Stampede 10 km trail run. Just a casual warm-up before a massive adventure ahead — love it. 👊
🇦🇺 WA State Champs – Mullaloo Standard Distance Triathlon
Over in WA, the Mullaloo Standard Distance Triathlon doubled as the State Championships, with tough conditions forcing a shortened swim on race morning.
🥇 Catherine Beeson rose to the occasion, taking out 1st place in the State Championships — a brilliant result continuing her strong season.
🌊 Bribie Island Triathlon – QLD
Up north, Melody Scott lined up for the long course at Bribie Island, facing another rough, choppy swim.
She put together a strong, composed race and finished it off with a negative split run, showing the work she’s been putting in — especially through a busy few months of life changes.
From trail runs to state titles to long course racing — the team keeps showing up in all conditions.
Time to Thrive. 💪

🟢 Mindset Monday 💭
As the season comes to an end, it’s easy to measure everything by results.
Times, placings, outcomes.
But not everything that matters shows up on a results sheet.
A better question to ask right now is:
Are you healthier than you were?
Are you happier in your training?
Is your life more balanced?
Because long-term progress isn’t built on one race.
It’s built on how sustainable your training is, and how it fits into your life.
Shift the focus from outcomes to how you’re living day to day.
That’s where real progress starts.
As we head into 2026 and 10 years of Thrive,
we’re offering 10 weeks of coaching at half price for those ready to build something sustainable and truly Thrive.

In the aquabike, Lou Hellam stepped up to her first standard distance as she builds towards longer racing next year, while Sharon Andonaco ticked off her final race before knee surgery next week — great to see her back out there.
🌊 Geelong 70.3
Perfect conditions made for a great day of racing.
🥈 Alannah Nash, after a solid break post-Kona, showed her class with a strong race to take 2nd in her age group, holding tough all day.
🔥 Chris McGrath put together a brilliant performance, taking over a 20-minute PB on the course — a huge reward for a consistent summer block.
👏 Great to see Zoltan back out on course, adding another Geelong 70.3 finish to his name.
🌴 T100 Gold Coast
The first edition of the T100 hit the Gold Coast, with Luke Barlow heading north to take on the challenge. Well done, Luke, for stepping up on a big stage.
While the Victorian summer season may be done, the triathlon year is far from over. With Ironman Cairns in mid-June, there’s still 11 weeks to go, and plenty more racing across the country before we close out the season.
Let’s keep building. 💪
Time to Thrive.

🟢 Mindset Monday 💭
New bike days are exciting.
Fresh build. Clean lines. That feeling when everything is dialled.
But here’s the truth.
The bike doesn’t change the outcome.
The habits do.
The engine is still you.
The standards are still yours.
The work is still the work.
Gear can support progress.
It can’t replace commitment.
Enjoy the upgrade.
Then go earn it.

Thrive Tip Tuesday
Stop training to prove something.
Training should build you, not validate you.
If every session feels like a test, you are probably carrying pressure you do not need.
You do not need to prove your toughness every week.
You do not need to prove your fitness every session.
Train to improve.
Train to build capacity.
Train because it supports your life.
The goal is progress, not performance theatre.

🟢 Mindset Monday 💭
Clarity is a leadership skill.
If you don’t decide what matters most, everything starts to feel urgent.
And when everything feels urgent, nothing gets done well.
Strong leaders, in training and in life, choose their priorities early.
They don’t react all day. They direct.
The calmest people in the room are usually the ones who decided in advance what truly matters.
At Thrive, that’s been the focus for nearly 10 years — helping athletes simplify, prioritise, and build progress that lasts.
To mark our 10th year in 2026, we’re offering 10 weeks of coaching at half price for those ready to train with clarity and purpose.
Lead your time. Don’t let it lead you.

🔥 Thrive Race Results – Community, Racing & Podiums 🔥
Over the past few weeks, the Thrive team has once again been proud to be supporting local events, racing hard, and backing the communities that keep our sport alive.
🚵 Alpine Cycling Club Mountain Bike Series
After a string of hot Tuesday night races, the series wrapped up with an outstanding result from Tay Jack, who took 1st place overall in the A-grade Women’s category. An incredible display of consistency and toughness across the series. 👏🔥
☀️ Western Australia Sprint Triathlon – State Championships
Over in WA, Catherine Beeson lined up for the Sprint State Championships and delivered a huge race, picking up a strong 2nd place, literally pipped on the line. A great reminder of why short-course racing is so exciting and why Catherine loves it so much. 💪🔥
🚴 Echuca Triathlon Club Sprint
A staple on the country racing calendar, Echuca once again delivered a tough and competitive day.
Donna Todd continued her strong form, stepping onto the podium and showing great run legs once again.
Chris McGrath didn’t quite have his best day out, but took plenty of lessons from the race that would soon pay off.
Richie H**e put together a solid performance in a deep field.
Sadly, Blake Tavern was forced to break his long-standing streak of consistent racing after a work-related injury. We’re wishing Blake a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on course soon. 💚
🌬️ Shepparton HEXman Triathlon
After a week of 40-degree days, the triathlon gods turned kind, delivering cooler conditions, strong winds, and some seriously hot racing. It was fantastic to see the Shepparton HEXman back on the calendar.
Sarah Lee dominated her local race, taking 1st female overall.
Charlie and Bailey White both stepped onto the podium, with Bailey continuing his lucky run in the new Thrive suit, two races and two podiums.
Zach Anderson, coming off a big training block as he builds toward Ironman New Zealand, used the race as a perfect triathlon hit-out. A solid tune-up with a couple of big weeks of training still to come.
Chris McGrath delivered his best race yet, backing up a great swim with a consistent performance to claim his first podium. A huge breakthrough, putting the lessons learned at Echuca into place.
Donna Todd, backing up from Echuca, also took on the Aquabike, showing impressive durability across back-to-back weekends.
Finally, a massive shout-out to the Thrive community members who volunteered their time helping run the Echuca and Shepparton events. These races don’t happen without people stepping up, and we’re proud to support and be part of those local communities.
🏊 Brighton Australia Day Swim
Zach Anderson also jumped into the Brighton Australia Day Swim, getting some much-needed open water work done and another quality hit-out as he continues to build toward Ironman New Zealand.
Racing, learning, podiums, and giving back.
This is what Thrive is all about. 💚🧡

🟢 Mindset Monday 💭
Most people don’t need more confidence.
They need fewer decisions.
Every extra choice drains energy.
What to do today, how hard to go, whether it’s “enough”, when to stop.
That mental load adds up fast.
Good structure simplifies decisions.
And when decisions are simpler, showing up becomes easier.
A strong mindset isn’t about willpower.
It’s about removing friction so the right choice becomes the easy one.
