Southside Comets Football Club Based in Southern Cairns at 10-20 Walker Road, Edmonton. All welcome Southside Comets Football Club was established late 2002 at Fretwell Park Sporting Complex.

Southside Comets Football Club is a FQPL Premier club in the FNQ and an FQ Academy Club providing social, competitive and development pathways and opportunities. Southside Comets Football Club is located at the Walker Road Sporting Precinct, 10-20 Walker Rd, Edmonton, on the southside of Cairns, QLD, Australia. Southside Comets FC field Senior teams in Premier Mens, Premier Womens, Premier U18's, Premier Mens Reserves, 2nd Division Mens, 1st Division Womens & U18B competitions. Our Juniors field Under 6 to Under 11 teams in the MiniRoos Football and Under 12's to Under 15's in the Junior Competitive competition. Southside Comets FC Juniors also offer MiniRoos Kick-Off for 3-5 year olds taking their first steps in football! Formation of the club was initiated by volunteers in an effort to promote health, fitness and well being through soccer in our growing community. With the support of our sponsors and the wider community, Southside Comets looks forward to providing players with quality sporting experiences that motivate and enhance personal development, encourages a deep respect and lifelong involvement with soccer, and promotes friendships. A dedication to providing comprehensive training to coaches and players alike is a major objective. It would not be possible for our club to run so well without sponsorship. The big day has arrived for our Kenfrost Homes Southside Comets Junior teams!

This Saturday, our teams take the field in the Junior Grand Finals, and we want to see a sea of purple in the crowd. Grab your Comets gear, wear your purple with pride, and come cheer on our players as they give it their all on the biggest stage of the season.

To all our players, coaches, managers, volunteers and families, congratulations on an incredible season and for earning your place in the Grand Finals. We are proud of every team representing the Comets.

Congratulations to our very own Lucas Houliston who has successfully completed his B License with Football Australia. Lucas is one of our important list of growing Advanced License Coaches coming though Southside Comets FC. Our club believes that coach education and accredited pathways make football stronger and our children enjoy a life of football through the dedication and commitment of highly trained coaches and mentors such as Lucas.
