🦈 PADI AWARE Week: Sharks and rays are among the most vulnerable marine species, with conservation research and accurate population data playing an important role in protecting them.

This year, our Divers Den staff instructor Mar Garcia is leading a PADI AWARE Foundation fundraiser to help protect vulnerable shark and ray species through diver powered conservation.

At Divers Den, we bring this conservation work into our dive training. Our PADI AWARE Shark and Ray Conservation Specialty is included in our Advanced Open Water course, teaching divers about shark and ray biology, the threats they face and how divers can contribute to their protection.

Our interns also learn Dive Against Debris, another PADI AWARE programme that turns divers into citizen scientists.
