National Volunteer Week โ Volunteer Spotlight #3
Pictured below are four past Presidents of the Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club with only our current President Anna missing from the photo.
The role of President is such an important one within our club, helping guide the direction of the Cairns Crocs while supporting members, volunteers and events throughout the year.
Over the years, many volunteers have stepped into leadership roles to help keep our club strong, welcoming and growing, and we are incredibly grateful for the time and dedication they have given to our triathlon community.
During National Volunteer Week, we thank not only our past and present Presidents, but all volunteers who have contributed to the Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club over the years.

National Volunteer Week
A big thank you to Julia Cox, who recently volunteered as our car park marshal at one of our events.
Julia was there super early before most people had even arrived, armed with a light baton and ready to direct traffic and parking to help everything run safely and smoothly from the very beginning of the day.
Roles like these are so important behind the scenes and are a huge part of making our events successful.
Thank you Julia, and thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who help keep Cairns Crocs events safe, organised and welcoming for everyone involved. ๐๐

This National Volunteer Week, the Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club would like to say a huge thank you to the many volunteers who help make our club and events possible.
From our committee members to event day volunteers, setup, registration, timing, marshals, surf safety, race directing, moto support, timekeepers, finish chute crew and so much more we simply could not do what we do without you.
Every event and every race relies on volunteers giving up their time to support our triathlon community, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.
The photo below is from one of our recent events, featuring our Race Director Trevor N Natasha Garvey on the back of moto support just one example of the many roles that help keep our events running safely and smoothly.
During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate and thank all of our amazing volunteers.
We appreciate you all.

Where do we start!
Firstly to all the athletes that came along to race a challenging but beautiful course, so many smiles, and you all brought your A game.
To everyone who put their hand up to volunteer, we can't do these events without you, and your help and support are greatly appreciated.
To our supporters: Pump 'n' Pedals, Swim Cairns, Coral Coast Riders, Surf Life Saving North Queensland, and a huge shoutout to Rattle n Hum Cairns and Global Backpackers for donating their van for our shuttles and to our fabulous van driver Carlton.
A special mention to Jez White, our former club president, who came along on Saturday to set up the swim course, a job that is super important, and we appreciated your help = thank you
To all the spectators - thanks for bringing the vibes, for helping pack up, and for keeping the park clear of rubbish, to the young man who did an extra lap on the run course to check for rubbish!
Apologies if we have missed anyone - again THANK YOU
To our fellow committee members and their families, we thank you too for all the behind-the-scenes work to get us to the event ๐
