Today we celebrated all the incredible women who make our club, our families and our community stronger.

From the mums, daughters, sisters, aunties, grandmothers, partners, volunteers, supporters and players.... Thank you for everything you do both on and off the field.

Rugby is more than just a game, it's the people who stand beside us, cheer us on, lend a hand when needed and help create the family atmosphere that makes our club so special.

Congratulations to our FNQ Thunder men's team on a hard-fought 18–15 victory over the Townsville Brolgas!
What a nail-biter from start to finish, with both sides leaving everything out on the field. In the end, it was Thunder who held their nerve, sealing the win with a clutch penalty kick in the dying moments.

Hard luck to our FNQ Lightning ladies, going down to the Townsville Brolgas 41–12.

The score doesn't reflect the heart, grit and determination shown by our women who never stopped competing right until the final whistle.

The countdown is on for an exciting day of representative rugby this Saturday, 30 May, at Barlow Park as FNQ Rugby takes on TDRU - Townsville and District Rugby Union across a full day of championship action.

From our juniors through to senior representative sides, the best talent from across the North will be on display in what promises to be a massive day for rugby in the region.
