Tonight our Leichhardt Lions Premier Women are back in action as they take on Redlynch United under lights at Calanna Park.

The girls have been working hard and are ready to put in another strong performance as they continue their season. We’d love to see plenty of Lions supporters on the sidelines to cheer them on and get behind the team.

It's a busy week ahead for the Lions with a full schedule of catch-up fixtures across multiple grades.

Our Premier Woman , U23 Men and Premier Men take on Redlynch Strikers at Calanna Park this Week. Lets fill the stands with a sea of red and ROAR for our Lions.

Our U13FQPL and U16/U18FQPL are coming off a Wins last week ready to take on this week's competition.

Our Senior Men return to Jeff Pezzutti Park on Friday night for a huge double-header against Stratford Dolphins. Get down to the club and show your support as both Division 2 and Division 1 look to secure valuable competition points on home turf.

U23 Women and Div 1A travel to south to Innsifail this week for what sure to be some great football.

Another huge weekend of football for our Lions, with plenty of positives across all grades and some fantastic results on the board.

Our juniors led the way with strong performances, including impressive wins for our U13 FQPL, U14/15 FQPL, U16/18 FQPL, and Lioness Black teams. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and supporters on a great weekend of development and success.

In the senior ranks, our Premier Men secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Stratford, while the U23 Men also claimed an important win. There were some tough contests across our women's and men's divisions, with teams continuing to show determination and resilience throughout the weekend.

Thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers, referees, sponsors, and supporters who continue to make our club such a great place to be.

⚽ Reminder: There will be no MiniRoos for the next 3 weeks during the school holiday break.

It’s a big day at home today as we welcome the Stratford Dolphins to Jeff Pezzutti Park! ⚽🔥

Our Lions will be looking to make the most of home-ground advantage with four exciting matches on the schedule. We’d love to see our Leichhardt family and supporters down at the grounds to cheer on the boys and create a great atmosphere from the first whistle to the last.

Registrations are NOW OPEN for our 2026 Junior Carnival! 🎉

We're excited to welcome clubs from across the region for a fantastic day of football, fun and friendship. With over 55 teams and 500+ players expected, this is set to be one of the biggest junior football events in Far North Queensland! 💙🤍

Open to all U5–U12 teams, the carnival focuses on participation, enjoyment and creating positive football experiences for our young players.

Carnival Information
✅ FAA Rules apply to all games throughout the day.
✅ All games are to be played in a positive and respectful manner.
✅ This is a non-competitive carnival. Referees will not be supplied. Coaches from both teams will be encouraged to share refereeing responsibilities and should discuss arrangements prior to kick-off.

Game Times (All Age Groups)
⚽ 15-minute halves
⚽ 5-minute half-time break
⚽ 10-minute break between games

⏰ Games will commence and conclude on the siren regardless of the referee's whistle.
⏰ Games starting late will not be permitted to run over time.
🏅 No finals will be played.
🏅 Every player participating will receive a Carnival Medallion.
