Very proud as Dan’s instructor to be a part of his progression to becoming a MDW Animal. Trained consistently at the resent MDW Warrior camp in Pangkor, Malaysia. He has now achieved the name of Hornbill a bird of precision and timing. Hunting small mammals, snakes & lizards when not enjoying the fruits of the forest. A beak in the shape of Karambit and a horn the shape of a Dulo-Dulo (Palm stick). A name suggested by the man that trained us both. Well done brother 🔪.

A few months ago I was asked if I wanted to write my life journey for a martial arts e-magazine which I declined. When asked why?, I respectfully mentioned that I lived & trained years of realty combat and didn’t want to be viewed as a traditional martial artist. The editor completely understood as he too, even though a life time of over 40 years specialising in Kyokushin Karate, is an ex Special Forces Commando in the Indian Army.
For the first time in my life, I wrote a brief journal of my life’s story so far & was honoured to be the front cover story but also have 30 pages dedicated to it.
I am now writing monthly articles for the magazine on blade survival & other combat & cognitive fitness training each month and presenting an interview with various interesting combat/martial artists from around the world. I am the Sub-Editor of the Australian Desk for Punch Out Magazine an online/ e-magazine out of India, presented by Founding Editor, Captain Kaustav Nath
