DIVE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.

I have a 54ft timber trawler and 2 x 3 man mini submarines (2 passengers and a pilot) currently located in Cairns, Australia having been used to dive the Great Barrier Reef. Personal circumstances have prevented me from operating the business for 3 years and sadly, will stop me re-commencing operations in the future.
The subs appeal to all ages, from the young through to the young at heart. The submarines also offer an experience to those with disabilities who might otherwise be unable to dive underwater.
The huge advantage over scuba diving is that customers can ‘share the moment’ being able to talk to each other whilst the pilot is able to give expert commentary. This is the only dive experience which allows underwater conversation.
I am offering to make everything available to the right person(s) who can see the potential and want to build a business. The boat and subs could be transferred to anywhere in the world. The boat will need to come out of the water for a few patch repairs and anti-fouling and the equipment, although fully maintained, will require operational servicing. There will be other costs, like insurance, registration etc. If operated in Australia, the pilot needs to be a Dive Instructor.
I am not looking for any money for the boat, subs or any equipment. I will transfer the majority equity to you at no cost in exchange for retaining a minority ongoing shareholding and giving you any support, help and advice you may want. You will be responsible for the management and costs of just getting the business up and running it. You will be making all the decisions, I will not interfere.
There is no catch and no hidden agenda. I still have the ‘dream’ but alas, circumstances now prevent me from realising it. This is your opportunity to see the dream close up and perhaps for me to see it made real from a distance.
If this sparks any interest for you, please get in touch and we can arrange a full, open and honest exploratory chat. Alternatively, if you know someone who may be interested please hit the share option to help spread the word.

A message from Richard Chapman - Director GBR subs

Primarily, Great Barrier Reef Submarines is a commercial venture but the owners of the company are passionate about conservation and preservation. Each of us would admit to having a ‘soft spot’ for a certain animal whether it’s a domestic pet or animal from the wild. If you are a pet owner, you will know what I mean.

Surely, we should care no less about wild life. Man seems intent on destroying the world and too many of nature’s creatures are at risk.

Here at GBR subs we want to play a small part and ‘Do Our Bit’ to help with conservation.
Thats why we have pledged to donate up to 25% of our distributable net profits made by the company each year to conservation projects.

To be clear and transparent this is not 25% of sales turnover but 25% of the net profits that the shareholders would normally take as a dividend.

The money will be shared between Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (CTRC), Australia and Chipembele Wild Life Education Trust (CWET), Zambia, Africa.
Both of these charitable organisations are close to my heart.

If you take a dive with us, then you will have an awesome experience made all the better by knowing you are contributing to both of these amazing organisations and you will be ‘doing your bit’ for conservation too.

Keep checking in here to find out more about the amazing work done by these two conservation/rehabilitation projects.

Happy World Environment Day from the next of the Great Barrier Reef's Great Eight... the Maori wrasse. These friendly reef residents change from female to male when they’re around 9–15 years old. When they do, the hump on their head becomes more prominent. Talk about gender bender!

Our app has welcomed it's first ever proper reef frogfish sighting! But can you see it?

These hidden hunters are notorious for attracting prey by hanging a lure resembling a worm or tiny octopus in front of their mouth… sneaky!

Thanks to Eden for sharing this rare moment with us. Find out more about the Eye on the Reef app here: http://bit.ly/1LzPutP
