Let me tel you about Colby. He’s a young fella for a start and won’t stop being a squirmy little prick when your grappling him. S**t it’s annoying . But this is Alex Volkanovski’S main training partner since day 1 . Colby’s 23 or 24 now . Can’t remember but he’s got his black belt and had a fair few fights and is going to go a long way in the sport . Phenomenal work ethic and relentless in training. He’s a fair bit lighter than us and a lot younger but never complains , never misses a session wether he’s injured , tired , worked on the door all night and had no sleep or been cooked the night before with Frank , he will be there to help you in your session. Where I’m going with this is that you do not need a gym(or move to a gym)that’s famous of full of all the best guys in the world to make it. To make it to the top you just need a bloke(or gal) that is dedicated , committed, passionate and on the same mission as you (Colby has mad skill though so@that helped). Volk and Colby worked away for years in the Gong at a small gym with this creepy old angry bloke of a trainer with ruthless huger to be the best into he world . Now Volk is about to make history again and solidify himself as the best mixed martial artist in the world .
And a big reason being because of this young fella whos having a pretty weak attempt at growing a moustache .
