🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 Shirley Treacy Awards recipients!

Following regional rounds in Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton and Mackay, our Overall Finalists came together for the Online Awards Presentation on 12 September, where their performances were adjudicated by David McAllister AC and Fiona Tonkin OAM and this year’s Overall Award recipients were announced.

We’re delighted to celebrate our 2026 recipients:

Nearing the end of Term 3, and it’s safe to say 2026 has been one for the history books. Eisteddfods, ballet and tap exams, workshops, seminars — and moving into our brand new home. 🖤

And the excitement isn’t over yet!
Our new City Studio is opening its doors to the wider Cairns community these school holidays, with junior workshops running Tuesday 22nd and Tuesday 29th September.
Designed for ages 6–13, with Cheer & Pom, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, plus craft and chill-out activities.
Open to everyone — bring a friend along for the day.

Then it’s on to our end-of-year concert series, with three shows across November and December

Not every dancer wants the same path, and that’s exactly what our recreational classes are for.

These classes aren’t examination focussed, so students can join regardless of previous training and build their knowledge and technique gradually, across all genres, in an inclusive environment.

Recreational students also take part in an end of year concert - which is something to work toward across the term.

If you have a dancer who would like to join our classes, now is the perfect opportunity to join in time for our end of year concert.
