This month, as we watch Australia's best compete in Glasgow, it's a great time to celebrate what gymnastics gives every child — whether they dream of the podium or just want to be stronger, more coordinated, and more confident in whatever sport they choose.

Welcome to the Junior GymKids Games Theme!

While Australia's athletes compete, it’s super fun this week at Junior GymKids to use our gym muscles & cheer each other on! We will be joining in our multi sport stations with activities from weightlifting to kayaking, swimming races on scooter boards, javelin and shot put too! Add in High jumps over noodles, long jumps and
wobbly weight lighting for leg strength squats ….

Gymnastics is called the foundation sport because the skills developed here — strength, balance, coordination, spatial awareness — transfer to almost every other sport your child might play.

While Australia's gymnasts compete in Glasgow, our BV gymnasts are working through their own Mini Games Passports — taking on challenges, building new skills, and experiencing the thrill of setting a goal and achieving it.

With Australia's gymnasts competing on the world stage this month, it's a good reminder: the skills built here prepare children for wherever sport takes them.

What does 'One Team' look like at Barron Valley? It looks like a group of eight-year-olds huddled around their teammate, cheering her on as she attempts a skill she's been working on for weeks. When she lands it, they celebrate like they landed it too. That's not coached. That's culture.
