Some kids LOOOVE to bounce wildly up & down & go around and around the bar, while others are very cautious with even just a little movement and a forward roll is a big achievement. Knowing where your child’s vestibular sense is at on the scale of hyper (too much) or hypo (give me more), can be as simple as watching their facial expressions and body language. Maybe hesitant/tense shoulders/standing back, or a very clear loud “NO WAY, not today!” Knowing their sensory needs goes a long way to understanding how best to support your child’s learning style! Our teddy bear program is filled with vestibular activities like:
Rolling around bars, Grip turn hangs, Half turn jumps, backwards bear rolls, cartwheeling bear paws and beary, beary much fun!

✨ If You Don't Leap, You'll Never Know What It's Like to Fly ✨
Every big moment in Junior Gym Kids starts with a brave little leap.
We teach your child that it's okay to be scared - but it's important to try anyway. Gymnastics teaches them the strength to hold on and the courage to let go. Every leap builds confidence that will last a lifetime.

Your child didn't learn a new skill this week. But their coach noticed something you didn't. They noticed your shy child spoke up during warm-up. They noticed your anxious child tried something hard without asking if they could. They noticed your quiet child helped a friend. They noticed your frustrated child didn't give up.
Those aren't skills you can test. But they're everything.
That's why our coaches track progress the way we do. We look at: ✨ Technical skills (of course) but also✨ confidence growth ✨ Resilience building ✨ How they treat others ✨ How they treat themselves.
Our coaches care about what your child becomes, not just what they can do.

Our Teddy Bear theme continues this week at Junior GymKids! Working with our vestibular sense is vital to children's body awareness, learning and focus. At the core of our VESTIBULAR sense is head position. As the head moves it swishes the fluid in the ears. This stimulates tiny hairs which are ‘receptors’ to the nerves which carry information to the brain about which way is up.. It's is our ‘survival’ sense & why it affects our 'paying attention muscles' big time.& it's why it's worth playing with purposefully ! Whether they crave it or avoid it, supporting & processing their rolling, turning, swinging, swaying, spinning, bouncing & going upside down....is a game changer to their learning- It's why gymnastics is so good for our kids - especially in these brain wiring 'early years'.

We are getting lots of comments from our Junior GymKids families about how much fun and learning is happening in our classes.
*Inclusive program *encouraging the little ones and confirming with helpers that it all takes time and to be patient *Clear directions in the sessions *We really like the structure and all the coaches *Structured but fun learning classes *Coaches are great!
Feedback is always appreciated but it's also these BIG smiles that help us know we are on track. Thank you!

DID YOU KNOW?
Children with less than 2 hours of daily screen time are significantly more likely to meet physical activity guidelines than those with 4+ hours.
According to CDC data, 70% of children with low screen time meet activity guidelines — compared to just 54% of children with high screen time.
We're not here to shame anyone. Screens are part of modern life. But we are here to offer something different.
One hour at gymnastics is one hour of climbing, jumping, swinging, and playing with purpose. No screens required.
And the best part? They won't even notice they're exercising. They'll just think they're having fun.
