Jan Watson is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and teaches classes at Mission Beach, North Queensland. She teaches alignment, precision, and breathing renowned in the teaching of Iyengar Yoga. She easily explains the how’s and why’s of poses with concise instructions and challenges you to go that little bit further.

Ustrasana | Camel Pose Focus

Find depth and support in Ustrasana by moving with intention:
1. Ground: Press shins down, stretch through the feet, and send the tailbone forward.
2. Lift: Curve through the spine while drawing shoulder blades in and shoulders back. Keep the lumbar long.
3. Expand: Stretch the abdomen toward the ribcage and lift the back ribs. Reach arms outward, lock the elbows, and press palms firmly onto the heels.

Breathe, hold, and feel the full opening through the front body.
