FNQ Speedway Riders

FNQ Speedway Riders has made a decision to not run any race meetings in Cairns for the 2019 season.

First we would like to throw out a huge THANKS to all of the VOLUNTEERS,RIDERS,SPONSORS and SPECTATORS that have supported us over the last 10+ years we GREATLY APPRECIATE your commitment.We also would like to THANK NQ Speedway Riders and Supporters Club for there support.

As everyone knows nonprofit organisations need support from a wide variety of people in the community and from all around the state/country, first of all we need a track then sponsors then RIDERS then volunteers and most important spectators.May i add a little help from MQ would have been AWESOME.
Over the past 10+ years the struggle in all these areas has increased especially in the last couple. If you don't put a good SHOW on the spectators will not return.No spectators no speedway.

The committee will meet in late 2019 to review our decision for the 2020 season. If you would like to see speedway bike meetings in Cairns in 2020 please let us know we have your support as the decision will be made on the support and feedback we get.

A big thank you goes out to all of our volunteers
without you all our club would not run smoothly at all.
from the girls on the front gate the ladies in the timing Tower keeping points and times the commentator did an awesome job the four ladies covering the merchandise tent the two guys on the small pit gate checking for pink bands the men on the back pit Gate the guys pushing the gates open and closed for the riders you did a great job that's a hard job.
To everyone in the infield pulling the tapes down the flaggies the line markers the photographers the group doing the raffles fantastic job Peter, John and Al you kept the flow of the racing going well anyone I may have missed the committee appreciate all your efforts and support.
