Kaz and I recently went on a Slow Pitch Jigging ONLY trip with some good success, even catching one of my favourite eating fish on SPJ.
I wanted to make a good video for you guys especially those new to SPJ where I talk you through everything I do during a day of SPJ.

-how to select what jig and jig weight to use
-underwater footage of how SP jigs behave with the right action
-how to rig the assist hooks, jig, split rings, solid rings

My first John Dory on Slow Pitch Jigging! I recall it was 1 lift 2 lift, felt a bite on the fall and hooked up to a heavy fish, after that it was like winding up a plastic bag.

Which knife do you use for filleting? I use top or bottom ones but don't really know the difference. The thinner middle one I use for skinning

Swapping from the default size #2 hooks to size 10 hooks because I think it suits my local better.
What do you think? Which hooks do you prefer?

Luckily she listened, adjusted straight away, and fought this snapper like a pro. Watching her call out the fish's depth from the reel's line counter and work it around the boat made me pretty proud. A solid 38cm snapper to finish it off! π£β€οΈ
