HYROX. Bootcamps. CrossFit comps.. Marathons.
In 20+ years in this industry I’ve watched every trend come and go. The one thing that’s never gone out of style? Strength training.
If you’re in your 40s, this matters more than ever. Research shows muscle strength and power start declining around 40. Muscle mass and strength are some of the strongest predictors of how well, and how long, you live. 💪
Muscle is your reserve. It’s what gets you through illness, keeps you moving, and lets you keep doing the things you love later in life.
So do the HYROX. Run the marathon. But build the foundation first:
✅ Strength as your base
✅ Progressive overload done right
✅ Good technique and proper recovery
✅ 2 to 3 sessions a week
That’s how we coach at ISF, with two coaches in every class watching your technique.
Fads come and go. Strength stays.
