Our Club Our People!

🎾 Meet Steve King (aka 'The Fortress')— 30 years of tennis, mateship and a b**r afterwards. 🍻

Steve first came to South Camden Tennis Club when his kids had lessons with David Scotney. More than 30 years later, he’s still part of our Thursday night competition — and still loving his tennis at 73.

His favourite thing about the game?
“Mateship and the b**r afterwards.”

And what keeps him coming back?
“Mates and b**rs, and a bit of exercise.” 😂

We’re sensing a theme, Steve!

A retired building estimator, Steve also gives plenty of his time helping with maintenance around the club. Those jobs make a real difference, and we’re grateful for everything he does.

Away from the courts, he enjoys basketball and gets out on his bike five or six mornings a week. Clearly, the “bit of exercise” extends well beyond Thursday nights!

Thanks for being such a valued part of South Camden Tennis Club, Steve. Here’s to plenty more tennis, laughs and post-match catch-ups. 💚🎾
