Sundays are for State Training!

James is so incredibly lucky to be a part of a team that want to help him rebuild his confidence & enjoyment of judo. When you are the smallest, you are the most vulnerable on the mat. It takes a huge amount of courage to put yourself in front of someone that could hurt you, especially when it’s all you knew for a year. But slowly, surrounded by the right coaches he is making progress.

The Canberra international was such a learning experience for you, walking out in Senior Boys. It was a tough day on multiple levels for so many reasons. But we know you took away so much for the experience.

Tomorrow the Sydney international is a fresh day for new opportunities. All that matters is you use the time to try & learn. Remember being an amazing friend & a good sportsman to your fellow judoka, is what makes you a winner. Medals are just perks ❤️

6 days post surgery & today James made the trek to State Training. While he has an extremely valid reason for not attending, he was still determined to keep his attendance record for 2022/2023 on track. He didn’t stay long because he was so overwhelmed with emotion. Max & I can not thank our close judo family more for their outpouring of love & support for our judo warrior.
