Growing a love of horses in the heart of Canberra We welcome membership enquiries at any point during the year.

CRC Pony Club is one of over 800 clubs across the country that encourages a love of horses and riding in families with access to a horse or pony. We provide our members monthly instructional days and other training activities with our experienced instructors covering all types of riding disciplines and horse care. Our club has supported members to excel in many disciplines including hacking, mount

ed games and eventing with CRC riders representing at national and international level. We have excellent club grounds and facilities nestled in the inner-north of Canberra including a spacious clubhouse, toilet block, day yards, two sand pads, and ample grassed riding area. We have a great range of gear to use for training showjumping, mounted games, cross country, dressage and much more. We are one of the only clubs to offer agistment, with 10 of our active members’ horses living on the club grounds in Lyneham. And most importantly, our club is a friendly and welcoming community of families and volunteers who love their horses and learning. We look after each other at training and competitions and are proud to be seen out and about in our red & gold uniforms – Go TeamCRC! Membership
Our club supports families in and around Canberra who own or borrow a horse or pony. Our members keep their horses in territory agistment paddocks, privately or on our club grounds. Annual membership starts from $245 for a rider and one parent and includes free monthly instruction and access to regional pony club competitions, trainings, camps and other opportunities. Membership is open to anyone who is not considered a 'professional' under the Association rules and is divided into three categories:
 Junior members under 17 years of age,
 Associate members 17 years of age and under 25 years of age, and
 Senior Members 25 years and over. Senior members can join as riding members however local training and competitions that allow adult riders to participate remain limited. Whilst riding members can be over 25, at present our riding activities are focused on riders under the age of 25. Nestled in the inner-north of Canberra, the CRC Pony Club grounds are one of the most central equestrian grounds. On the corner of Barton Highway and Randwick Road in Lyneham we are only 11 minutes from the CBD and 5 minutes to Kaleen and Hackett territory agistment paddocks. We have a spacious clubhouse, toilet block, day yards, two sand pads, and a generous grassed riding area. Our grounds provide a home to 10 of our members’ horses and can be booked by other equestrian groups and instructors’ training and events. We are pleased to host Southern Tablelands & ACT Working Equitation’s activities at our grounds. We welcome ground booking enquiries from local equestrian groups and coaches. Pony Clubs are proudly volunteer-run. Every lesson, event, working bee and rally day is made possible by the dedication of volunteers.

At CRC, none of our committee members, coaches, helpers or supporters are paid for the countless hours they give. Their passion, time and commitment are what keep our club thriving.

This week, we’d like to recognise and thank the amazing volunteers who make our club possible. From our coaches, executive committee, event organisers and grounds managers, to canteen volunteers, fundraisers, gear movers and behind the scenes helpers, every contribution matters.

National Volunteer Week 2026 celebrates the commitment of current volunteers and invites everyone to discover how giving their time and talents can spark joy, and a deep sense of purpose.

Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the people whose generosity, kindness and hard work make CRC such a special place.

What a week it was at Zone 16 Camp 2026! 🐴🏕️

Another wonderful week full of laughs, learning, and CRC spirit! ❤️💛

CRC showed up in force again this year, with a fantastic group of riders and an incredible crew of volunteers supporting behind the scenes. 🥞☕️

A big thank you to the Zone 16 committee, all the wonderful coaches, and every helper who makes this camp such a standout experience year after year.

🐴 CRC March Clinic – Registrations Now Open!

Registrations for CRC’s March Clinic are now open via PCA JustGo.

Each rider will receive:
• 1.5-hour dressage lesson with Sarah
• 1.5-hour showjumping lesson with Ellie

Multiple horses are permitted - please contact us prior to registration.

Are you ready to give Pony Club a try? (for riders under 25 years old)

💛Have you / they been having lessons for some time and you're getting ready to start your horse ownership journey?

❤️Have you recently bought a horse or pony and would appreciate a supportive community around you as you embark on this adventure?

💛Are you an experienced horse family and looking for something that will encourage your kids to ride more with friends their age and riding level?

❤️CRC Pony Club might be the place for you!

We are inviting you to come and try our Pony Club on Sunday 8 February on a come and try membership ($40). If you have your own horse or pony you will get to bring them along to ride. Families without horses are also welcome and will get to observe (free).

It'll be at the same time as our normal Rally day so you will be able to see how it all works and meet our lovely members.

There is no obligation to join as a full member afterwards but if you do the $40 will be deducted from the full fee.

This event celebrates versatility with competitors taking part in dressage, sporting and showjumping, including the introduction of 6 bar this year.

We had representation from across Zone 16 and much further afield!

Across the day we saw smiles, cheers, fears confronted, first times, goals achieved and outstanding performances.

The highest scoring combinations won embroidered saddlecloths and bridle bags thanks to our generous sponsors.

We congratulate riders on getting out there, trying new things and displaying great sportsmanship.

It's impossible to name everyone, so we say a big thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible. So many people have worked so hard to make it happen. A special shout out to this year's core Gala Committee Michelle, Janine and Franny.
