There'll be even more cricket across our fields this weekend with the Thunder Nation Cup to be played across Saturday and Sunday.

This is a collaborative event between the Sydney Thunder, Cricket ACT and the Indian Australian Multicultural Sports Association.

A total of 16 teams will play this weekend split across 4 pools in an exciting 3x 12ov round robin match format.

It's wonderful to have multiple South Asian communities represented in the Thunder Nation Cup, which is the community with the fastest growing participation in our sport.

Play will take place at Lyneham and Dickson across this weekend, with Semi Finals and Grand Final to be played in a T20 format at a later date (to be confirmed).

The winners and runners-up will be treated to a very special medal presentation at the Sydney Thunder v Brisbane Heat BBL match at Manuka Oval on 12 December.

All players that won 'Player of the Match' awards will be awarded trophies after the final match on Sunday, 3rd September. Top Batsman, Top Bowler, Top Keeper and Player of the Tournament trophies will also be given. If you have won any of these trophies, please try to be there to receive your award.
