Supa-Liga Summer 2024/25 Wrap-Up
The Supa-Liga Summer 2024/25 season has officially concluded and it was the biggest in Western Australian futsal history. This season saw 29 clubs field 168 teams, with 46 referees officiating across 1,385 matches, and 83 staff members supporting the operation from start to finish.
The season ran for 192 days, beginning with the opening Men’s Supa-Liga B clash between the West Coast Cobras and Lions Futsal on the 4th of October, and concluding with the Men’s Supa-Liga C Grand Final between Arqam Eagles and Northern Hawks on Sunday, the 13th of April.
Over the course of the season, teams scored a combined total of 9,201 goals across seven venues in the Perth metropolitan area. The Under 11 Supa-Liga recorded the highest goal-per-game ratio, averaging just under 13 goals per match, while our youngest stars in the Under 7s averaged over 8.5 goals per game.
In our top-flight competitions, 228 men’s and women’s Supa-Liga matches were live-streamed, with commentary, match statistics and stop-clock rules, adding up to over 15,500 minutes of futsal and attracting nearly 75,000 views on YouTube. The live-streamed Grand Finals and the Men’s Supa-Liga promotion/relegation play-off drew more than 6,000 online viewers and nearly 2,000 live spectators. The most-watched matches of the season featured Rockingham Cambio Cumbre, West Coast Cobras, Northernn Hawks, South Perth Alliance and Cockburn Wolves.
Futsal WA continues to invest in the growth and visibility of futsal. Participation is rising steadily, with team numbers growing from 122 in Summer 2023/24 and 81 in Winter 2024, to an anticipated 140 teams for the upcoming Winter season. This year, we acquired three new Veo cameras, enabling the recording of approximately 800 matches, including an increasing number of junior games.
A huge thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, club members, administrators, coaches, managers, and of course the players. We’re proud to be growing this game together with the WA futsal community.
Presentation events will be held on Saturday, 3rd May at the Hyde Park Hotel in West Perth, where we’ll celebrate our Grand Finalists and individual award winners from the Summer 2024/25 season. Full details will be sent to clubs shortly.

Wonderful news for the growth of our sport with Northern NSW Futsal coming on board with the Supa-Liga!
In an exciting announcement for futsal in Australia, one of the largest and most successful futsal regions in the country has come on board with the Supa-Liga brand! The Summer 24/25 season will see the elite Northern NSW Futsal state leagues rebranded for their inaugural Supa-Liga NNSW season! More info to follow soon!

Futsal in Western Australia is set for a big future with Football West signing an agreement with Futsal WA.
The affiliation brings all registered futsal players in Western Australia under one banner, with Football West working with the Futsal Supa-Liga WA competition to deliver coaching and referee courses.
It will provide Supa-Liga players greater access to Football Australia pathways, while participants can play in both Supa-Liga and the new F-League competitions.

Futsal Supa-Liga Western Australia are in the final round of fixtures in the Men's Supa-Liga. Tonights matches will decide who makes it through to the finals.

Men's Supa-Liga Australian Championships 2022 | Tournament MVP | Tournament MVP
Chez Houston was a powerhouse for the Northern Hawks on their run to the Grand-final of the Supa-Liga Australian Championships. His natural athletic ability combined with precision control and high futsal IQ; made him an extremely difficult player to shut down for opponents. Always moving with purpose his playmaking skills and directions to his team were key elements to the Hawks success and this was recognised with nearly a 10 point gap in the MVP votes from both his coach and opposition coaches.

Women's Supa-Liga Australian Championships 2022 | Tournament MVP
Laura Waltman is an incredibly talented player, predominately playing as pivot for Western Devils Futsal Club. Throughout the Supa-liga Australian Championships she was one to watch; driving and passing through defensive lines to create multiple goal-scoring opportunities for her team. She also slotted in 11 goals herself to take out the Golden boot and the she was 4 votes clear as the top voted for player by her coaches and opposition coaches as Tournament MVP!
