🏏 Best Batter – Sultan Grade 1 (Season 2025–26)

With many great innings this season, including a couple of half-centuries and a brilliant century, truly showed outstanding batting.

A great way to wrap up the season with Sultans. Good food, plenty of laughs, and even better company at our end-of-season BBQ. Already looking forward to the next cricket season.

Yesterday, Sultans successfully defended another low total to close out our 2025/26 season with a win.

Competing in Grade 1 of the Canberra City and Suburban Cricket Association, this season was another important step in our journey. We began our cricket story in Canberra in 2020 when the club was established, and we are proud of how far we have come in a short time.

While we missed a top four finish in Grade 1, we are grateful for the effort and commitment shown by our players throughout the season. We wish the teams competing in the finals over the next two weekends all the best.

Round 2, Grade 1

Great performance team! Naseem and Haseeb gave us a perfect start, Almas played a great innings, and Waheed’s batting and time at the crease helped us reach a strong total. All our bowlers were fantastic, though fielding wasn’t our best today except for Naeem Bhai, the ultimate team player, and Arslan Bhai with three brilliant catches, especially the last one that sealed our victory. That showed how important fielding really is. Faizan Akbar you had an excellent comeback with a great catch and run-out. Huge credit to our captain for his smart strategy.

Congrats everyone, amazing team effort let’s come back even stronger next game.

We are excited to announce that the Sultans SC will be participating in Grade 1 of the CCSCA Season 2025/26! The team, led by Captain Imran, will face off against the Spartans tomorrow, Saturday, 11th October.
