2025 TTC Winter Update:

Fencing:
We are very happy to report that the replacement fencing at the Turner Tennis Club is now complete and we are very happy with the result. The new black mesh blends in with the hedges and the greenery of Haig Park and we intend to erect some shade cloth at the ends of each court to further enhance game play. No excuses now that the sun was shining on the car windscreens in the car park or the ball was lost in the trees!

Coaching:
Just a reminder that commercial coaching is not permitted that the courts with out prior arrangement with the committee. Contact: [email protected]

Bookings:
Members bookings are limited to one booking of two hours per day. For additional use please contact the committee. If you book and cannot attend, please cancel your booking to make courts available for others.

Dogs:
Dogs are not permitted to enter the Turner Tennis Club. Previous issues with court damage, chasing balls, and disruption of other users prohibit dogs on site. (Service animals exempt)

Guests of Members:
Reminder that if you are a member and you are bringing a guest or guests to play with you, there is a $6 fee per person, per hour to be paid during the booking process. This is an honesty system, and it would be a shame if the committee had to start auditing this process.

BBQ and Clubhouse:
Members and guests are reminded that the club has a well-appointed clubhouse and a BBQ for the use of tennis players. Please feel free to use the BBQ, fridge, crockery and cutlery at any time.

Tennis fencing renovation finished!

Thanks to all those that participated in the club working B on Sunday. Place is looking good and we are looking forward to the new fencing too.

Hello Members and Guests,
Your tennis comittee would like to inform you that we are upgrading the mesh fencing that surrounds all four tennis courts.
Work is due to commence on Monday the 7th of July 2025 and go for about 4 or 5 weeks. Courts 1 and 2 will be out of action from Monday 7 July untill approximately the 21st of July and courts 3 and 4 will be closed for the two weeks after that.
The existing mesh fencing will be removed and replaced by black mesh, the existing poles will be painted black, some additional poles will be sunk between courts 3 and 4, and a top rail will be added.
Barring any unforseen circumstances, we should have 2 courts to use at all times during the construction works.
Thanks for your patience while these works to enhance the facilities at the Turner Tennis Club are taking place.
