What a great day out at Belconnen for our latest comp!
Ten of us braved the freezing morning, Rayles being our solo female player today!

A Grade
• 1st: Simon D – Net 69 (H’cap 29)
• 2nd: Pete – Net 70 (H’cap 29)
B Grade
• 1st: Jono – Net 67 (H’cap 34)
• 2nd: Gordo – Net 70 (H’cap 33)

• Longest Drives: Jono (B grade) and Pete (A grade)
• Nearest the Pin: Jone, Paul M (x2), Paul H
• Nearest the Pin in two: Pete
• Lowest Putts: Gordo and Simon D, both with just 30

Plenty of laughs, solid swings and a few near misses made for another memorable round.

🏌️‍♂️ Raiders Weston Social Golfers – Fairbairn GC Update 🏌️‍♀️
It was a very cold and windy morning, but that didn’t stop 14 brave (or slightly bonkers!) members from turning up at 11 am for our latest match at Fairbairn Golf Course.

The course was, as always, in excellent condition, and we encourage all golfers to support their petition to help keep this fantastic venue from being sold off — before it’s too late.

Despite the chill, the quality of play was outstanding, with several members posting impressive below‑par scores:

🥇 A Grade
Winner: Paul M – sensational nett 62 (9 under par)
Runner‑Up: Simon D – superb nett 63 (8 under par)

🥈 B Grade
Winner: Karina L – magnificent nett 57 (14 under par) – round of the day!
Runner‑Up: George E – excellent nett 65 (6 under par)

Nearest the Pin in Two: Paul H

A chilly Canberra morning didn’t scare us off, with 18 keen golfers teeing it up at Murrumbidgee GC for an 11:43 start on Sunday 28th June! ❄️⛳
The weather kept things interesting—dark skies and a few showers - the scores were tight! 👀

🏆 A Grade Highlights
It was a three-way tie for Runner-Up (all on nett 74!) between Perry, Paul M and Paul H, with a countback giving the nod to Paul H.
..but stealing the show was Chris D, the only player under par, firing a brilliant nett 71 (-1) to take the win! 👏🔥

🏆 B Grade Battle
Another close one!
Runner-Up: Karina - nett 73 – even par on the ladies card
Winner: George - nett 72 – even par on the men’s card

🚀 Extras & Bragging Rights
Longest Drive: Ty (B Grade) & Karina (inaugural Ladies LD 💪
None of the A graders managed to hit the fairway!

A fine, partly sunny morning greeted 15 members for our latest round, teeing off at 11:15am on Sunday 14 June at the Royal Military College Golf Club. Even better – the forecast showers held off until after the final putts dropped… perfect timing! 👏

There were some great performances across the board:
B Grade stole the show!
🥈 Runner-Up: Rayles – a fantastic nett 67 (5 under par – ladies card)
🏆 Winner: Gordon – an outstanding nett 63 (5 under par – men’s card)
A Grade wasn’t easy going…

🏆 Winner: Ty – nett 70 (2 over par) – steady and strong!
